This is delightful - filled with alliteration that will charm the children and an unexpected ending that will invite giggles and gasps. Good luck in the contest!

What a clever and well constructed kiddie write this one is! So many amusing critters created to delight the reader and a fun twist at the end too. I like it for its originality as well as for the smooth flow and satisfying rhythm and rhymes.
Good luck in the competition.

The rhyme scheme is perfect for children. Interesting names for all your critter. Imaginative that's for sure. I enjoyed:
Slithers a silvery Slipperhead,
-super alliteration
Best of luck in the contest. This is a worthy entry.

mystery author, I'm glad you said none of the critters
were harmed including the sweet kiddie-Boppers. What a fun
poem. I think you'd have kids looking under their beds and
everywhere to find the critters. Good luck in the contest.

You certainly responded to the prompt in a wonderfully imaginative way! I enjoyed your inventive "Critter Zoo" and all the fantastical names. I particularly liked your use of alliteration in these rhyming quatrains and your 'twisted,' final stanza. Best wishes in the contest. -Joan

Ah, that's so cute. It rhymes to perfection, with great rhythm and stays on subject all the way. Great flow. Can't find a thing wrong with this. Maybe Dr. Seuss has a successor. Good luck in the contest.

Hi the author,
An amusing romp through the house, it put me in mind of the Pratchett story "Carpet People." I'll leave the captive Kiddie-Boppers to you.

Thanks, Patrick. Maybe all KiddieBoppers should be rounded up and caged...
