JLR: I am not familiar with this type of poem, however, I received much joy in reading it. It made me smile and think of younger days (much younger).
The rhyme and rhythm was like a boat ride amongst calm waves remembering the unencumbered days of youth. I'm still smiling. Keep writing these. Linda

JLR: I am not familiar with this type of poem, however, I received much joy in reading it. It made me smile and think of younger days (much younger).

Very descriptive poem! It tells the story of the artwork perfectly. I always have trouble with staying within poem form guidelines, but this one looks perfect to me! Great poem!

Reminiscent of those days when children loved to interact face to face, engaging with one another and nature. So much to love in a non-virtual world!

I've read quite a few of these recent (presumably due to the club) and they are coming out great. Your refrains both work well and you do a solid job of using them naturally in each stanza, whilst developing the meaning of the repeating line.
I'm sure I used to have play times, though the memories are distant, lol.
