I doubt that Bach ever had such an amazing instrument to perform with. The keys look like they were made out of gold. another great piece of writing. These pictapoems really work.I can't imagine the amount of effort that goes into making them. But they are a treasure. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks very much, lindalcreel, that is very kind of you to say so. As long as I've got readers such as yourself that enjoy them, I will continue to do my best to produce them.

    Thanks so much, again!

The writer delivers a chilling message to the reader. The message is dark and attention grabbing. This piece is packed with rhyming as it flows well. None of the rhyming seems forced as everything seems in place. Good job.

I like to dance, but this is dance I think I will have to avoid.
Ballroom dancing is sometimes called as tasteful. However, I don't think anyone would want to be described that way at this dance. And the sexy women that are described as delicious at this dance probably were.

Such a small font and italics made it hard to read. I must be getting old, ha ha.

Hah, well, no older than any of the rest of us, Matthew. After all, we can all only age one day at a time, LOL...

Thanks very much for this fantastic review!

You have a great artistic vein. Be careful, a vampire might decide to suck you dry to get your art. Kali is around the corner waiting for a bite. Great music!

Heh, Kali...waiting on me? Oh, how wonderful her "bite" would be, hah ha!

Thanks so much for your warm, heartfelt review, JM. I do appreciate it, sincerely!

I will be holding off on them for a while, marijmd. I have to get back to concentrating on my co-authored novella, "Ouija's Kube." But, rest assured, I'll be back with more, and with a vengeance!

I'm a huge zombie fan, so immediately I was engaged in the piece. As I've mentioned before, I'm also a big fan of these picta poems. I was wondering how you make it so your videos/music plays right away, when I embed the videos have to be played by the reader. Anyways, good alliterations, smooth flow, richly dark linework, excellent transitions; all of this equals great work overall. Thanks for sharing.

I thought this was a good poem. Not as good as the 'Warrior's Call' though. It was an interesting take on a person who can control zombies. I didn't know if the Zombie King was supposed to be a voodoo priest or if he is just an animator?

I liked the added bit on the folklore of zombies. I have an old horror movie called 'Revolt of the Zombies,' and the people in the movie weren't actually dead, they were hypnotized by French Cambodian priests. This couple goes out to save the world. It was a horrible movie with poor acting, but the priest I guess would have been like the zombie king in the poem.

Thanks very much, DSchlosser. Yes, I have read many echoing the same sentiments when comparing the two. But, they are of a completely different vein & genre. Actually, 'The Zombie King' was penned a full week before 'A Warrior's Call' was. It was just so much harder to format the font, I had to leave it in "Preview Mode" until I felt I had it right and readable. Anyhow, thanks for the review.

Cadaver's stiff choreography - clever wording!

This described the devil an his minions -undead choir, his act...far below. Great job actually making zombies scary instead of just stupid.

Great job again!

Dean, if I could give this seven stars then I would but as I can only give six you'll have to settle for that. Loved it. Loved the poem and the flow of words. Loved the artwork. When I first started reading your work I was worried because your short stories are so much better than mine and I knew that I had serious competition on my hands. Not only that but as a poet, you are exceptional. This was awesome. Keep it up my friend.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful compliment, Macsween. I do not believe my stories are any better than yours are, just different. Many people won't even read what I write, much less review it. You simply have to tap into the vein, find your niche audience, so to speak. There are, what, over 1,700 members on this site? Plenty enough to go around for everyone, LOL...

Thanks for your continued support of this particular form of poetry. It's not quite as popularly accepted as you might think...
