Well written poem of the tragedy of this horrific disease, that erases everything, leaving the shell of a mind inside.
Your words are powerful, excellently written, and leave a message of the importance of love and life.
I am so sorry about your brother.
Well done.

Skye, thank you ever so much. I feel on cloud nine that a poetess as talented as you finds my work worthy of a six.. Again thank you so very much... jlsavell

On reading these well versed quatrains I assumed they described a gentle soul as they do. I struggled with cancer and discovered just how mean I could really be. Placid water is deceptive. Alzheimers is a constantly testing disease.

This is a very sad story your poem tells. So many families are having to come to terms and cope with this diagnosis. A lot of writing focuses on those families but not so much on the fear the victim must feel. Very fine writing :) Tina

This is superbly written, in every way a masterpiece. I wish I had my new batch of six stars so I could give you one. So sorry to hear of the tragic case of your brother. Why is it taking so long for a cure? I sure hope they find one soon.

sweetwoodjax, oh my, when I saw this review, I became so excited. To have a six from an exceptional poet herself is just so very humbling.. Again thank you... jlsavell

I believe you've captured the feelings of an alzheimers patient quite well. I didn't realize they sometimes become violent but in a way it's understandable..
Well done, Buck

It is a living nightmare when one's friends and family become strangers. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Brilliant, sad, poignant. Your memories came to life as you wrote for your late brother. How can we possibly understand what they go through - their own little world that makes sense to them; the worst time is when they don't know where they are or who you are, this is so devastating. Well done poet.

J, You really portray confusion well, which is an art in itself. The flow is even, the confusion is made understandable to the reader. I knew those were his relatives before you wrote that they were. So very sorry to hear of your brother's tragic end. But he is not suffering NOW. Maybe his soul never did suffer but went on. You've done a great tribute with this. Changeisgood
