Awww, how sad. I don't think it's really about birds, tho. I read it over twice and I'm still not sure I get it. Did you lose the right words and just can't get them back?

Thank you, Cindy. I appreciate your review and comments. My intention was to show how difficult it is to capture one's flights of imagination and turn them into words. So often they die in the process. Best wishes, Tony

Wonderful; just wonderful! I don't know how better to describe this, but, this is just wonderful. Your wordings flowed so well. Again, you've got a very nice mix of wordings.
The message in this line: "I heard them sing from trees, their trills a waterfall," isn't very clear. You may want to review.
Overall, this is a very wonderful piece. Cheers!

This poem, Wonder Lust, presented in ABAB-rhymed quatrains, is a mesmerizing tale of creation and the sometimes uncharted lives which evolve from what the creator saw as beauty. I see there is so much here that covers the personal, which I must interpret from the general observations. Our works turn into something other than what we had in mind initially. Of course, this might be a story about love birds.

An interesting work of poetry. I'm still thinking about some of the symbolisms you unleashed. I enjoyed the flow and rhyme. No edits or adjustments are necessary.

What a powerful poem! How true that what we intend may not at all be the end result... Even beauty of poetry can turn beauty to darkness--and chaining what must be free will never cultivate luminescent work! --Karenina

Hi Tony, I liked your poem in rhyming quatrains. The progression of the story went very smoothly and the rhyme scheme held. I like that the free birds flourish and the caged birds don't... something to remember, especially today. Well done :)

Wow! Wonder Lust is a lovely, thoughtful poem filled with powerful imagery. Your descriptions and exceptional word choice as the poet lusts after those illusive words was pure poetry and a joy to read.
Blessings and stay well Tony

This was truly an interesting poem. You have greatly described the life-cycle of your word birds in a unique fashion. The idea is very original, as is the great flowing story aspect. Really liked this one.
