loved the subject matter, was somewhat familiar with the Ripper story, the author's notes helped.
*very poetic in description
(countenance grew cold)
*flows along nicely
*very clever rhymes
the language in which you tell the tale perfectly fits the piece and sets the mood...
...who doesn't like a good Ripper story!

Creepy as always my friend! I have to turn off the speaker because at 6AM in the morning I feel goose bumps.
I have this extraordinary inclination to read and watch about suspense - thriller although I don't like to watch about vampires. I don't like to see blood-sucking perverts.
six stars for the added information about Jack! c", Mae

A delightfully disgusting poem, here Dean. Just the way you like them! :D You do a stellar job with imagery. The "bad guy" has such a spectacular end, but, of course, he had it comin'. The last four lines are my favorites. I chuckled at the phrase, "knotted skein". I am a knitter and have had many a fight with knotted skeins. Not for the faint of heart.
So well done!

Dean: THIS ONE IS BONE CHILLING AS BY DESIGN I;M SURE WITH BACKGROUND SOUNDS TO FINISH OFF THE ATMOSPHERE WITH TRUE CHILLING EXPERIENCE. Great work and you are indeed the unchallenged master of this style. BTW I'm still eager to get back with you on the Kronus Bug but have been off line with other challenges for awhile. will be getting back soon. Vance

This was awesome. You brought in the double creep factor. Jack the ripper gets haunted by one of his victims. Who wouldn't get scared by that. I like that in your author's notes, you tell about the last victim's corpse vanishing. Not only was I chilled by the poem, I also learned something in the notes. Greta job.

There has been so much research that I think this is one of the most widely discussed unsolved crimes. Can't tell you how many times hubby and me have watched shows about the infamous Jack the Ripper. Love the music, and the story. Thanks so much for sharing.

Dean Kuch: You have to know that every one (including this one)of your scary poems give me the creeps; the hair on my arms and at the back of my neck, always rise. I'm afraid to look behind me and it is early afternoon. The picture you have in the box "About Dean Kuch", is terrifying and makes me shiver when I look at it. . .and I can only look at for a few seconds. You are a master of your creations. livelylinda

I wrote a poem about Jack also, years ago, called "The Notorious 19th Century Murders. I guess we're both fasinated by this creep. LOL Loved this poem. You almost felt like I was reading Poe's Raven. I loved the line "Alabaster fangs pierce waiting flesh. But "Oh, you're so delicious" spoken by ruby lips dripping with his blood" Ughh!

Heh, yes, he is (was?) quite a fascinating fellow. I wonder what it would've been like for those that knew him on a personal level. He had to be a complex person, wouldn't you agree?
Thanks so much, amahra, for another outstanding review!
