Good use of the aabb rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good perfect rhyming with wood/good...tight/light. Good description and alliteration. Good storytelling. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message.

Hey there Steve
I love this sweet little poem. I have 17 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild, and with your permission would like to read it to the 4 younger ones. It is delightful. We are all about elves and fairies

Thanks, Glen - of course you can read it to them - the more enjoyment the merrier - dunno how you're going to fit four names into that last stanza....

Thanks, Rebekka
I did think of using hobbits instead of goblins and, of course, New Zealand is almost the home of the hobbit.....

What a delightful children's poem. I would love to read it to my grandchildren. It was very well written. The rhyming would make it fun for adults and children alike to listen to. Great job. LorraineK

When Keilah's tucked up in her bed nice and tight
And Mummy has kissed her and turned out the light,
These magical folk will make sure she's alright,
So when Keilah's tucked up ,then it's time for Good Night!
This is a magical poem that all children will love, it is written so well and easy for children to understand. The image is just fab.
Well done. mary

Steve: such a delightful poem, just perfect to read to a little one at bedtime. They love the rhymes and it tells a story which includes her. I bet she giggled at that! Great job, grandpa, or g-pa as my 17 year old grandson would call you. livelylinda

Fabulous children's poem in pristine rhythm and rhyme. I bet you Keilah absolutely adores it when grandfather reads this out loud to her. Nice that others can use the poem too.
Exceptional steve.

Now what child could resist a tale about the elves and fairies that are watching over them while they sleep. This has such a happy cadence too. The repeating lines to start and end each stanza round things out very well.
