Interesting write on the battle for the soul of the castle. As it is haunted, I guess we know who won. Reminds me of Raimi's Army of Darkness. You needs chainsaw-handed Ashe on your side.

A rousing battle story with a twist of ghoulish army. Wonderful action imagery on these aabb rhymed quatrains. Colorful descriptions abound, like : mottled undead hordes, mist swept eastern shores, unholy foe, and cadaverous crews. Really enjoyed the alliteration in: Belched blazing boisterous bellows, and others. You created a ebb and flow of the battle, with relief and equation in the victory. I was mesmerized by the verse and delighted with the author's notes. Bravo!

Thanks, Mr. 'T', I truly appreciate that. I am glad that a poet of your caliber enjoyed this meager offering.
Again, thanks so much!

Nice bloody story of the dead taking their long looked for revenge. These ghosts don't seem like they could be mollified by a single seance. So many dead in one place. Though probably this kind of story can be told about many castles in the British Isles. Clan warfare was always bloody whether in was between different clans or members of the same clan.

So interesting! I don't know which I enjoy more.... the always excellent poems, or the history lesson I get in the author's notes each time!
What can I say? Another splendid effort! You really get into the 'place' when you write these "time pieces", create the feel of the gothic castle.
Another good portrayal of the constantly ongoing battle between good and evil!

Even the Bible speaks of ghosts. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making of an interesting read. There is very good imagery.

Well done. I can see you put a great deal of time and research into the poem/story. You could actually make series of works about the legend. Just a thought. Good job.

I love tales such as these no matter how horrid. I find them interesting. Your poem has some very vivid imagery though at times it was a bit difficult to read. I do applaud your visual creativity, not your words but your presentation too. Only complaint is the sound effects. I found them to be a distraction. Still an interesting and enjoyable read...

Yes, many already know when they begin to read an offering in poetry from me to hit the "MUTE" button on their computers, if they don't want the sound track, that is. My pictapoems are designed to be a sensory experience, not simply something you read. Think of it like a movie, only in poetic expressionism.
Thanks for your kind review...

That Leap Castle sounds like one nightmare for a real estate agent! This was a grisly story, and it was well enhanced by the clashing swords at the beginning. In any case it was a touch of history I was glad to learn about, Giddy
