This is a heartfelt poem and a worthy tribute to "John". An eloquent piece that describes him well. My cousin is a baseball player (Kris Bryant who currently plays for the Colorado Rockies) and his dad coached him and his brother since they were little kids, so I enjoyed reading this.

Hi there Yusita, that is so cool that your cousin is a famous ball player. We have the same kind of thing where my best friend?s cousin is TJ Hopkinson that plays for the MN Vikings in the state where I live.

Debi, I am out of sixes for you and John. Happy Birthday, John! I have enjoyed John's stories and his reviews this past year. I grew up a Yankee fan, mostly because we didn't have any baseball teams in Texas when I was a kid.

One of his sons is the head chef at the Casa Monica Hotel here in St. Augustine - very upscale hotel where all the celebrities and wealthy stay when they are here.

Yes, he cooks, and writes often about it.

I'm aware that he's a Yankees fan; I'm a Red Sox fan, so that's the only thing I'll hold against him, LOL!
