This is a super cute writing, I really enjoyed the whole story. I enjoyed the rhyming and I love all the pictures that you used throughout this as well. I know my 3 year old granddaughter and 3yr old great nieces would enjoy this too.

Thank you so much for that golden star, Lana! What a lovely review, too. I hope your granddaughter will enjoy it. There are three more parts. When it's published, it will have pictures of the mermaid and the sea creatures to colour in. Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Sandra,
This is such an awesome poem-story. I had so much fun reading it!
I must be young at heart, because I want to know what happens next.
I felt a little down, and your poem brought a smile to my heart.
Best wishes!
Have a nice eeek!

Of course you're young at heart, I think we all retain that side of us, although sometimes it's hidden away. Lol. Thank you so very much for the sixth gold star, Cindy, and the lovely review. Three more parts to come. Warm hugs. Sandra xxx

This is so cute. The CUBE 16 is excellent for your your poem. It's one children will enjoy. Oh, the poor whale with a broken tooth. The Mermaid decides to put the situation before the queen to see if the children can get to the whale and help fix his tooth. We will see more about how the children are able to swim to get to the whale. The illustrations are charming. judi

I love Robert's Cube 16 format, it's perfect for children to read. Thanks so much for this lovely review, my friend, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Three more parts, possibly four. Warm hugs! :)) Sandra xxx

Charming--they'll surely love this. Love the cube form--perfect for this catchy story. How many chapters do you plan on. Sugg: have the whale swallow Rapier.

LOL!!! No one liked Rapier! I might have to bring him back later when he has served his sentence in the London prison, and goes to the Bahamas for his next trial. I'll have to give it some thought. Are there Orca whales there?
Thanks so much for this lovely review. There should be three more parts, possibly four. The children have got to find away to help the whale. But first, the mermaid must ask the mermaid queen if she can help them to breathe under water. Thanks again, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

Sandra, I love it!
I didn't see a thing to correct or suggest. The format works great for this!
And a coloring book? Do you have an illustrator for such a grand plan? :)
Let me know if I can help with that part. I have an illustrating job, but it's not hit my desk quite yet. And, hey, you know how much I love to overload my plate! lol
Blessings, friend,
Debs

I'm so pleased you liked part one of this little story, Debs. No I don't have an illustrator, I found these pictures on Pixabay, they are free to use for personal or commercial use. They aren't perfect for what I want, but do the job by giving a visual for the children to see. I'll be looking for pages for the children to colour in as well. There is a site that does them ready to down load. You are such a sweet friend to ask about it, but I'm honestly living on a shoe string, so I couldn't afford to pay you or anyone to illustrate it.
How is your book doing? Have you sold many copies? I find it hard to promote, it's a special skill, at least it is to me!! Lol. Thanks again, dear friend, for this lovely review. You are so kind. Love and hugs. Sandra. xxxx

What a fabulous poem, it's not the first time I've seen this dimeter used. I think it's just couplet rhyming halved, (not quite though) as long as the meter has the usual stresses in the right place, but it is good in this art/written format. But as usual you are skilled at both forms, well done, blessings Roy

Aw, thanks, Roy! I used this format in my Scout and Her Magical Unicorn, and Scout loved her copy, bless her. I have another grandchild coming, and a great grandchild!! I think I'll have to keep writing these books for presents for them!! Lol. I'm so pleased you liked this first part. Three more to come. Warm hugs, and love, Sandra xxx

Loved this poem. It flowed well for me and was something I could imagine reading to my nephews. It might be my brothers love for animation speaking, but I could so see this animated as a simple animation or a book format on a you tube channel.

Aw, thank you so much for the golden star and the fabulous review, Jenn! I would love to be able to do animation for this book, but I'm not clever enough! Lol. This will be published with the illustrations I can use from Pixabay.com. They are free and I can use them commercially, which is great! Thanks again, my friend. Three more parts to come. :)) Sandra xx

Such a cute story, Sandra! I'm impressed you can do this AND edit your most recent book. I've given up on editing the books I started.
My only comment is that not all whales have teeth. (I know! I'm such a literalist!) So maybe use a picture of whales that have teeth?

Yes, I've been reading up on whales and learned a lot about them. At the end of the book, I'm going to write some fun facts for the mothers to read to the children. I didn't realise how many different whales there are! I will look for another picture, that's a good idea. Thanks so much, Helen. I really appreciate that. And thanks for the lovely review.
I'm slowly going through the editing, making sure I don't miss anything, and then I have an editor to go over it again. Writing this is my way of relaxing. It takes the strain out of editing. Sad, aren't I?
Thanks again, my friend. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

Not sad at all! Admirable!!

This is so much fun. Oh, yes, I remember Alexis Leach's writing well. She had a novel about the problems of opening and managing a new hotel.
About your lovely poem ... was it illustrated by your daughter, the architect? Whoever it is, she's doing a gorgeous job for you.
Only one spag I could see.
far deeper then
she'd ever been. [... far deeper THAN she'd ever been.]

I'm so pleased you spotten that spelling mistake, thanks, Jay. Alexis will be delighted to know you remember her, she is always telling me how lucky I am to have you reading my novels, not that I needed telling!!
Thank you so much for the lovely golden star, my dear friend, that meant so much to me. No, Chloe is way too busy now. She has just qualified as a fully fledged accountant, and has landed a really excellent job with a company called Avask. They are a world wide acountancy company. I'm so proud of her. She began university studying to be an architect, but soon realised accountancy was her calling. Now I'm relying on Pixabay.com they have so many different pictures you can download and use commercially, but obviously they don't have many that will match my story perfectly. But I'm thankful to be able to use what I find.
Thank you again, my friend. Warm hugs. Sandra xxx
