Excellent poem, I learned more about the wild west and gunslingers than I could ever have known possible! Not being a US resident, some of these names are unknown to me, but I sure like that Hardin who made them weep... I know a snorer I'd like to shoot asleep.
A highly entertaining and researched and well written poem.

I grew up watching all of the westerns. It wasn't necessarily my choice though. As a young lad, I had to watch whatever my father served up on the TV unless it was a time that he let us watch cartoons. You've got quite an assortment listed here. I've heard that Glenn Ford the actor I believe had the fastest gun draw on record. I like this and enjoyed reading this well written work. Well done!

You've done a great job here. You have incorporated all of the wild west hero's and villain's. I see you did your research.
Your rhyme and meter are spot on.
There isn't anything I would have done differently.
I am looking forward to your next offering.

A true cowboy poem. I like the way it compares those of the real wild west compared to those of the reel wild west. It all flows smoothly together in both thought and rhyme. I wish you the best with this entry!

A nicely written poem denoting all those men notorious and otherwise, that ruled or terrorised the old west, mind you we had our own "wild men" Captain Starlight, Ned And Dan Kelly, Ben Hall, Mad dog Morgan. Beautfully written and a smoothly rhymed aabb, well done, blessings, Roy

I like what you did with this. You have mentioned the gunslingers in the history of the wild west. My favorite is Billy the Kid. I knew that he had some weak roles, but he was one of the best gunslingers even though he was bad. Nice work!

This is a great poem. I am not sure which are fictional characters or real lol. I should know, really, as I am a vivid western fan. Great poem and thank you for sharing. Good luck in the contest.
