We have a beautiful planet, don't we? Why do we abuse it so much? I enjoyed reading your prose, and I really enjoyed watching your video. My sound isn't working, but I could enjoy the wonderful images that are it's showing, and your own photo. Altogether an enjoyable start to my day. :)) Sandra xx

Thank you dear Sandra. Yes, God made all this beautiful things and people for us to appreciate and esteem. It is a pity to not see and esteem them all.

Yep.... hate to sound cliche, but we ditched cable and only have our Amazon Prime and Netflix.... and we watch things on there VERY sparingly. All the negativity was beginning to really get to our house... we get enough of it at work - don't need it within the sanctuary of our home!! :) ;) A beautiful write, Lady Sal -- and a good reminder to seek out the beauty and, perhaps, to look away from the rest over which we have no control... :) ;) thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

You are absolutely right that life is better lived with a positive attitude; and that is easier to achieve if we avoid being saturated by negative news, unpleasant "entertainment" and sights, and all the nonsense on social media, but instead focus on life's joys, such as beautiful nature scenes God has provided for our delight. Superb, and aptly illustrated by your lovely photo and accompanying video.

You are most welcome, Sal. Yes, you did fix the few items I found, and I have removed my comments about them. One of my joys these days is helping you and others here to improve your writing. The resultant friendships magnify that joy. -- Mike

This is a super post, Sally. I agree with you 100%. If we look for the negatives, we will surely find them. But the positives are there all the time--if we just take time to appreciate them and know that God made them all. Thanks for sharing your well-chosen words, the video, and the beautiful picture. Jan

Something beautiful is your written poem (pun intended). One of my favorite places is a Mai Tai stand. Someone asked if you had $86,400 and lost $20...would you throw away the rest if it? Well, many thing that upset us happen in 20 seconds or less out of 86,400 seconds per day.
No edits or adjustments from me.

What a beautiful read, Sally! It must be difficult to be a nurse or a doctor. You have to disconnect when you finish work.
I never watch the news. I'd much rather read a book or watch a TV series.
Thanks for sharing. I agree with everything you say here.

We have an antenna (regressed) and only watch whatever we can get. We read. I am so glad he is not into have all that high tech stuff. I do not want to "sling" with anyone! I am not even sure what that means! :) Great job with this. As usual.

This was wonderful, Sally, and although I was so engrossed I might have missed something, I didn't notice a thing that needs to be changed. Not a comma out of place, an "i" un-dotted. (Nice!)
I wrote a poem in 2017 along these lines I'm pretty sure you will enjoy. It's not paying anything anymore, of course. It's inside my portfolio -- in a book entitled, Dawn's Favorite Poems, Vol 3 -- chapter 33. :)) "My Mind Shall Dwell On All Things Pleasing".
Love,
Dawn

That's a wonderful scripture to read Sally. Elaine and had our usual eatout Friday night with two friends, the widow of a deceased brother with whom we shared our Christian walk with for many, many years, the fellowship is reminding us of the wonderful heritage we share, always a stimulating meeting with God as the centre of our fellowship, what better companionship Sally? Our children grew up together, we were uncles and aunts to them also, Beautifully written my friend, blessings, Roy
