My thoughts on Jay in a song.37 total reviews

These words show the depth of grief a parent has when losing a child. It shouldn't happen that way.. I like that the son Jay answers and tells the father to stay and not wish to die.

Hi Ricky. This one is so sad my friend. It has an unusual rhythm and your "I's" keep pulling me down the page to see what the next thought will be. Engaging. Keep writing from the soul. xoxo Kiwi

Hard to read with tears in my eyes, I admire that you are still here. I won't say I know how you feel, because I couldn't even begin to know. I'm glad though that your boy get a mention to-night, he's alive tonight as we read about him. Your tribute is beautiful and Jason would be so proud, is probably smiling down on you now. Thank you for sharing. MaggieF

Missing a loved one is quite natural. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. There is very good imagery and descriptive scheme.

I'm so sorry about your son, Jay. He is now an angel in wherever we go when we die. Organ donation is awesome. I don't know what I could donate because I have so many damn problems.
Please keep writing. TC

Yours is a very poignant poem and I know that it gave you relief and healing to write it. I noted that as the song went on you heard your son tell you to keep going on -- that you have things you need to do and you realized that you can keep writing poem to and about your Jay.
One correction:
change "your" to "you're"

Thanks Raven for your love.
Almost in a Pie form.
But with faith.
I knew that young man and cut the cord and watched Him fly.
He saved lives while sacrificing with nocsecond thought.
That was Him in Life...
Eternally in death...

A beautiful tribute to your son. While the inspiration for the write is tragic, the hope it may bring to others that they too can get through the pain is a wonderful gift in itself. Your faith shines through, offering hope and love. The mention in the notes of organ donation is a marvelous idea.- Wendy
