Hi Dennis, I can't tell you how much I needed to read this right now! I had a set back with a couple of my counselees yesterday. I'm getting ready to do another women's group, which is always tough to get going. But, I find when I think I'm down and out, God brings in more people to help! As the great Dan Seaborn says, "Ministry would be awesome, if it weren't for people!" LOL He said this after a person he thought was a friend went around and bad-mouthed him and tried to cut down his reputation, which I doubt would ever happen.

Glad to be of service...I've been where you are talking from so I appreciate the chance to encourage you as others have often encouraged me! I pray your ministry goes well and is the stronger for the "bad" experiences! YBIC, Dennis

God hasn't let me down yet! I get impatient and I want to run ahead and God has to hold me back. Thanks for the encouragement:)

This is a very good story you have penned. It is amazing to read and understand what the ones in the Bible went through to be with Christ. I enjoyed this very much. Teri

This is such an incredibly beautiful and profound story. I immediately thought of the scripture that says "Those who endure to the end will be saved". We don't endure when everything is going great, we endure through difficult times. Since endurance is the key to being saved then we must be grateful for the difficult times that gives us an opportunity to prove worthy of being saved. We must endure with a smile on our face and not do so with a " poor me" attitude. This will bring all of God's blessings raining down upon our heads. That's what this story meant to me. Thank you for inspiring me to focus on God through the writing of this review. God bless you and have a glorious night.

I thank you for reviewing but I need to point out, our endurance does not get us saved nor does it keep us saved. The scripture about enduring to the end only means saved in the sense of saved out of a dangerous place, (the Tribulation time), not saved in the eternal way. And grace provides us with God's blessing, not our personal efforts...Jesus paid for all our sins once and for all on the cross. So we are blessed because of grace and we have already received eternal life according to John 5:24. God bless you, Dennis

Nice job with this piece of writing, Deniz, Bible stories always made me think. There is always a lesson to be learned. Right? The first story, I read about Jesus made me realize what an awesome teacher he is.

Yes, and here's one of the main things He taught from John 3: "You must be born again"...are you? God bless you and thanks for reviewing! Dennis
-
No, I am not a born again Christian but I believe in God and love Jesus. I don't believe in the old testament or fear of God. To me God is unconditional love, no fear.
-
Loving Jesus is great as long as you have the Jesus of the scriptures. It would seem truly loving Him would involve believing what He said about the necessity of being born again. You might like to try the 21 day challenge which essentially means reading a chapter of John every day for 21 days and answering 3 questions about each chapter. 1. What is brand new to me in this chapter? 2. What intrigues me? and 3. What puzzles me?
Not a lot of work for someone who loves Jesus and wants to know Him better. God bless you, Dennis

Thanks. I will give it a try. I do read the new testament and John is my favorite.

Wonderful! Please let me know how you make out? Thanks, Dennis

Of the apostles, I notice in the story, it was only Peter who attempted to walk on the water. God will not us a man (or woman) greatly until they are willing to risk their feeble efforts for Him. It is not until we try to walk on the water or dare to do something different for God and fail, we realize that in our own efforts, we cannot do anything for God. We have to trust Him and keep our eyes on Him and our hearts attuned to His will. Patricia
I like the old hymn, Dare To Be A Daniel, we could change the Daniel to Peter, Paul, Billy Graham, Dennis of even a Patricia or a Debbie. God has a purpose for all of us and some of us, our full purpose is not be known until we may be old. I have been a Christian long enough to know God sometimes uses us in different seasons to do a different work for the Kingdom, we just need to keep trusting Him.

Yes, falling down and being helped up by the Lord is how we often start to walk with the Lord just as a child learns to walk. It's a matter of growth rather than a matter of self determination. Thanks for reading and commenting. Blessings, Dennis

Thank you....have you been "born-again?" Jesus taught that a new birth through personal faith in Him and His sacrifice for sin is mandatory for receiving eternal life....God bless, Dennis

This is well written with no SPAG to be had. I often think of Peter as representing the weakness of man while Paul represented the strength of faith. The two balance each other for me as if Paul had not defied the original apostles hiding in Jerusalem (Peter among them) the word would not have spread. If Peter had not followed and re-affirmed every word Paul preached to the gentiles the word would not have lasted through all these years. Faith is complete trust, which you convey within this piece, but to bring others to God it will always be a path of pure love for it is I our actions and not preaching that others are willing to follow. Jesus taught thus and His miracles of changing hearts is endless. Nicely done and I thank you very much for sharing it.

Thanks for reading, but I honestly don't know where you get the ideas about Paul and Peter you are expressing here...certainly not from Scripture. I think you need training in the basics of scripture...starting with, "you MUST BE BORN AGAN." Honestly, Dennis

Rather judgmental for a born again Christian. I am okay with Christ, so I can be compassionate about such a response.

Excellent. Very good spiritual writing. The artwork is perfect for your writing. It is a great message for us all. I didn't spot any errors. Good work.

Nice piece. Hard to imagine Peter and other actually knowing Jesus personally. To us He's known only from an old book. Takes a lot of faith to believe what's in that book when you weren't there to see it. :)

Thank you...someone has suggested it takes more faith not to believe than to believe. Without faith in Christ, we don't have a clue where we came from, why we are here or where we are going when we die. The bible says such a condition defines spiritual blindness.
Christ came to give us light in our darkness, and the more one reads the bible, the more true confidence we gain. This book is a masterpiece, no pun intended. CS Lewis with more literary degrees than I can remember was converted by reading this book. He became convinced of its truth through learning how accurate it is in describing the human condition and the hope it held out to all in true love. He is one of many, I mention him for obvious reasons, I trust. His book, Mere Christianity, has been widely accepted and been very useful in Christian Apologetics over many years. God bless you, Dennis

A poignant piece with a powerful message. Your words are inspirational and your obvious faith exemplary. The way you link your first and last sentences builds a framework that encompasses the main message of this piece. Your author's notes add to the intimacy of your words.
Thank you for posting this and allowing me, and others, to share in your faith.

Thank you for your generous review, very appreciated. Did you know Jesus said a person must be "born-again" in order to have eternal life? If not, you can read about it in John chapter 3. God bless you, Dennis
