Boxergirl, great job with this poem for the contest. Right on
with your syllable count. What fun it is in the summertime
just to enjoy the lake. My husband's family has always enjoyed
lake life ... both skiing, swimming, but even more fishing.

Aren't they just gorgeous, perfect addition to this piece. It takes me back to when my ex boyfriend and I used to head to the lake and bruise ourselves wakeboarding and water skiing. He was very pale and unfortunately succumbed to sunburn rather than tan lines haha.

What? No sunscreen? When they get older, they'll lie face down and take the bikini top off. LOL I see alliteration with lake, life, and lines. Also rhyme in second line. Good luck in the contest.

It's not going to surprise me some morning to wake up to a new contest on FanStory for the best one syllable poem--no rhyming or alliteration allowed. In the 2-4-2 there just isn't anyplace to go. That said, you did as well as anyone, Karen, and your nieces are cuter than any others I've seen for the contest.
I'm sorry. I'm not trying to be catty or mean-spirited.

Hey Jay,,,I totally get it...no offense taken as long as you liked my nieces' picture. Lol
I actually agree about the length but hey as long as they dangle a hundred dollars, I will bite. 8-)
