Very well-done! I really thought the brother was going to blow-up when he found that he couldn't wear the medal to the last swim meet, but it all seemed to work out for the best. Good character development, nice smooth story with a happy ending and your message of faith gives the reader a good feeling at the end!

Wow. Great story. Very well-written. Was any of it factual? I have had older adult friends share similar experiences with me, and after my best friend died, there was a day that something unexplained happened and I knew it was him Just wondered. Enjoyed it very much.

Hi, VF. Thank you for this great review. It is based on a real life incident that happened to someone I know. I've encountered spirits personally, but never an actual orb-like phenomenon.
So appreciate your generosity and support.
Warm regards, Bev

You always write with such believability, Bev, and I love to read your stories. Your characters and dialogue are so real. Just a couple of minor things to look over to see what you think...
My brother's voice wobbles with emotion, (. I don't think this is a speech tag)
bossy know-it-all, kid sister but my brother (move comma to after sister)
Smiles,
karyn :>)

Hi Karyn. First, thanks so much for this awesome review. I really appreciate your support. Second, thanks for catching yet another SPAG. I think I set some kind of record for not putting commas in the right places! Warmest regards, Bev

I really like your story. I think stories of people being visited by the dearly departed are fun and very interesting because I believe. Well done. I am not a spag hunter, I will leave that to the smart people. Nancy

Hi, Nancy. Thank you so much for this lovely and generous review. I've had plenty of help in the SPAG department so, hopefully that's cleared up LOL. Sometimes I need to wear glasses over my glasses! Anyway, I thank you kindly. Warm regards, Bev

Do they give you four stars?
-
Sometimes, yes. It's not something I do personally, though. I try to look past the kinds of things that a good editor will take care of, and prefer to focus on the strengths and content. But that's just me. Cheers! Bev

Yes, Me too. I don't give fours. I move on if I don't like it.Nancy

Yes, Nancy, that's what I do, too. We're both classy, if I do say so myself LOL. Xxx Bev

Great job! I loved that Quentin was nervous to put grandpas medal in his casket. That's a very original idea and adds a level of reality to the entire ghost scenario.

Hi, Bear. Thank you so very much for this awesome review. My father passed recently and gifted me with a visit in the guise of a powerful, gorgeous fox that passed no more than a few feet from where I sat in my yard. So, I believe, too. Much appreciate it, my friend. Warmest regards, Bev

This is a lovely little story of the power of love from beyond the grave. I thought you did a great job with the conversations between brother and sister, and the little blue orb was a good connection between the first and second parts of the story. Well done!
Regards, Barb

What a superb story which is both entertaining and
greatly inspiring. I used to see my father while my
mom was in hospice care in the house I now live which
he originally built for my mom's parents. Pop died 19
months before my mom from which she never recovered.
When she had her first heart attack 13 months later,
I began seeing him at the house while she was in the
hospital. After she came home, I often saw him standing
by her bed or sitting on the sofa by her bed as if he
was waiting for her. I've not seen him since she died
which kind of confirms my belief.
thanks for sharing
love,
jan

Great story! I read it twice because it really touched me. We never know really if our loved ones from the spiritual world is keeping an eye on us. It should make us think before we act stupid or something. Makes you want to do the right thing and BELIEVE in yourself. Wonderful message wrapped in good, solid writing. Enjoyed it so much. Thank you for posting this.
Sorry I've been out of touch lately, just so much going on with my dad's estate. Lots of problems and things to "clean up". Stress has gotten to me in a big way.
Keep up the great work, I hope to be able to write again soon; this stress has me completely sucked in. Trying to smile(:

Hi Wanda! Gosh it's good to hear from you. First, I am so sorry that you are finding yourself so embroiled in your father's estate. If I didn't express condolences before, please let me say how sorry I am for what you are going through. There's so many dynamics in place settling estates, especially when care isn't taken by the deceased to make things easier.
Good luck, and please stay in touch if you can!
I so appreciate your lovely review, my friend. Your generosity is very touching.
Hugs, Bev
