A great story in the poem about Sir Nigel, loves your rhyme, meter, cadence and the stunning presentation. Many great finds, like:
Oh dear! Nigel in his youth was quite a dickens.
And sometimes a lusty maid is rolled and quickens.
Mr. Green was Nigel's son,
Whom he chose--for shame--to shun!
Loved your whimsy. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for taking the time from your own work to review this. I had hoped that readers would have almost as much fun as I did writing it. I played the game of Clue (Cluedo, across the pond) for years. Some guests brought the game with them to my B & B and as I listened to them play, the lines started rattling around in my head. It would seem that they have escaped.

I'm really sorry for only the 3 star rating. As much as I can appreciate the work that has gone into this poem and indeed the expertise on show. I have to be honest and say I found it slightly boring (For want of a better word) and my mind wandered in places. Sorry again. :)

Well, it is about a "board" game. ;) No apologies necessary, I can only hope that it wasn't really a problem with my poem but that you just needed a strong cup of coffee or tea. And all those fives and sixes just get redundant, don't you think?

Sir was quite a character. I liked the story told. Took me back to the old days. I enjoyed reading your poem. It was nicely done

LOL! I love this! Once Mrs. White came into the picture, I knew what you were doing. I have played Clue in ages! I never was very good at it. :) Lovely work. Wonder whodunnit in the end? :)

Hi, Peacock, White, Plum, Colonel Mustard - they're all characters from Cluedo, aren't they? Hence the clue in your final line. I remember playing the game as a child. This is a humourous write on it with good rhyme scheme. Well done.

Thank you for taking precious time from your own work to review this. I had hoped readers would have almost as much fun as I did in writing it. I played the game of Clue (Cluedo, across the pond) for years. Alas, It would seem that they have escaped without telling me who did it..

I don't know if you did or not but this was the best thing I've read in some time. LOL. Your rhyming was impeccable and your couplets just fine.

This was such a fun poem. We used to play Clue and got pretty good at it. I really enjoyed knowing a little more about each participant. LOL I think this is excellent and tells a story, but whodunit?
