You have such a fun and creative mind. Once again, you gave me a reason to chuckle and those times are way too few and far between these days. You could have put in that at 60, they shut schools down in Texas for overuse of the electric grid.

This is a fun and creative read of facts on Minnesota. I was in St. Paul years ago for a work seminar (St. Paul Insurance). I dreaded going out in the cold, but I never even felt cold as the enclosed walkway from the hotel to the office building got me to the office.
Great job and it brought back memories of how much I enjoyed the city.

Hi Mary, and I didn't forget you, but just way behind. I love that you were in St Paul and yes, the Twin Cities never feels it like us rural areas as they don't get the wind that we get. Of course, it can get plenty cold when you can't even breathe outside.

Wow, Debi, have you ever thought of working for the Minnesota Tourist Board in your 'spare time?' What a comprehensive and informative account of your state which is obviously very dear to you. It sounds amazing and, clearly, many celebrities bear testimony to that. Everything seems so vast, especially when you come from little old UK. And that mall of America is a case in point. Love the fun and humour woven through the read, particularly Living without Dick!! That title had to go, especially for someone as saintly as Mary Tyler Moore!
Your additional notes about the temperature put everything into perspective about how resilient and robust you folk are. Boy does it feel weird without you here this morning. I always feel your presence even if I don't get to your poem until the next day.
And Debbie, I love that the part that stuck most to you was the MTM show. She threw her hat up in the air right by my sister's office building. And of course there was the Dayton's humongous shopping store right there. It was a bit like Macy's in NY City. I couldn't afford to shop there for years, and then when I could afford it, I didn't want to. LOL. But loved that you got the Life without Dick part. That is hilarious, isn't it?
Just so you know, much of this was piece was highly exaggerated, except the informational parts about Prince and Oprah Winfrey. Judy Garland, Twin Cities and about our Minnesota Vikings. Also a few other parts.
Anyway, thank you so very much. I miss you already and yet, so glad you are here Reviewing!

Hi Terry, actually part of this is a little from a facebook post a friend posted and a little from me, but mostly from me. It was so much fun to do. At first I made fun of you Texas people. Jokingly tho. I wrote, "For those of you who think that we say things like Uffda and ya, sure, look at you Texans, y'all get praised for talking different. We get made fun of if we do it."
Haha. But I was afraid of hurting someone's feelings if they took it wrong, so I took it out of there.
