This is a charming and heartwarming poetic tribute to a lifelong friend. God sent you to one another. Such a friendship should be cherished, and it sounds like you both appreciate each other. You did a fantastic job celebrating your friend in rhyme. The last line added a nice touch of humor.

They say, keep your friends close, and your enemies even closer. I say the ones you lock onto, are the ones who know where the bodies are burried, the dates and times they were killed, and the poison you used to kill them. These ones you keep under lock and key.

I've just lost my life-long friend. We were friends for 47 years, we met when both our eldest son's started school. I'll miss her.
This is a lovely poem that I'm sure she will love. It's so nice keeping a friendship where not only the two of you get on so well, but your husbands do too. Well done, Debs, I enjoyed reading your poem. Love and hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
