Another fine write, Jesse....keep at it Jesse, I know it's hard, believe me, I'm sick of it, but it's the only way out of this hole, as one day soon we'll find ourselves standing in the light as a lyric I wrote back in the day said

What a wonderful thing to have a friend to share a day with in spite of your disabilities. We could tell by you words you both enjoyed the outing and probably will keep it among your favorite memories. I love listening to the birds too. Good job,Jesse. Nancy:)

Thank you for sharing this trip to Freshwater Park with us. I can't tell from reading how beautiful it was and how wonderful it was to get outside.
I said to David "can you hear the sweetness of the songs from the birds?" He answered sadly "no, I can't." It was at this moment that I realized how we shared disabilities, he could not hear the birds and I could not walk. (This paragraph should be divided into three paragraphs like:
I said to David, "Can you hear the sweetness of the songs from the birds?"
He answered sadly, "No, I can't."
It was at this moment I realized how we shared disabilities. He could not hear the birds, and I could not walk. I hope this helps.)

Hi Jesse,
It's been a while, and I was a little confused at first. I didn't recall you being in a wheelchair when I was last here. I did remember you not wanting to go out though, and I was telling you to 'just do it!' I'm really glad to hear that you're getting outside now. It really does my heart good to know you're getting some fresh air... and not by yourself either! How great that you have someone to go out with, which is more than I have at the moment, but I make myself go out anyway, hopefully I'll meet someone to hang out with too.
How'd you end up in the wheelchair, if you don't mind my asking? I do hope you get out of it, and David gets his hearing back... there's nothing better than being able to hear what's being said!
Take care... don't forget to exercise!

Hello Susan. Long story about the wheelchair. Please, look it up in my portfolio if you are interested as to why.

It's always nice to have good company to get out and enjoy all the magnificent things of nature around us. All but the ants, flys, and mosquitos that is. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Ric. I love all creatures great or small. Even mosquitos have their place in our world!

Hi Jesse,
Although we've only known each other for a short time, it's always a pleasure to read you. You sound like such a warm person.
I like reading about your experiences. You know what? I've never seen a sequoia tree. I don't think we have them here in Spain. I have lots of oaks in my garden though.
One of your sentences caught my attention (it's so beautifully written): Birds trilled arpeggios singing songs about how nature came to be.
I think Nature is always a healer. For all of us.
Keep us posted on your progress.
Thanks so much for sharing.

Hello Maria. I have been glad to know you this brief time and always happy to hear from you. Sequoia trees are native to California, the United States of America and I love to live near them. I am blessed to live so close to nature so grand and I agree it is always a healer. Thank you for your kind words and I will keep you posted on my progress.

I've seen them on videos, Jesse, and they are truly magnificent. They must be even better up close.

Yes, they are truly a sight to see. They envelop you with their largeness.

A lovely piece, and it must give you so much pleasure to be out amongst the birds and trees again. Looking forward to hearing of your journey back to walking. In the meantime, you write with understanding that probably most people have a disability of some kind, whether obvious or not, and that inspires care and compassion.

Thanks, Dolly, for this super sixer! I appreciate your kind words about our mutual understanding of our different disabilities. I am grateful to be home again and will walk again with a walker tomorrow down the hallway where I live.
Yes, I love wildlife and nature at its best!
So happy you enjoyed this tale.

I enjoyed reading about your friend David. You shared your
story well. I liked how you immersed yourself in nature and
felt peace. Your words were descriptive. I could imagine the
outing to the park. I'm thrilled you are up and about. I pray
David will be able to hear soon.
Take care, Jan

Oh, Jesse...this is beautiful. There is not one of us without a disability--some are more obvious than others, is all.
Having a son who was deaf and now has the miracle of a Cochlear Implant in his right ear, I remember the joy on his face the first time he heard the patter of rainfall! He has appreciated every day of hearing ever since...
He was born with flacicd cerebral palsy (no muscle tone)--after three years the specialists told me I had to accept the reality that he would never walk, never ride a bike... It was, they said, impossible.
He took his first steps on New Years Eve, 1983-- at three years/three months!
Your relationship with David is very special. In an indefinable way he has been your legs, you have been his ears...
Together how wonderful to connect to the living spirit of the trees, enjoy the birds and miracles of nature!
I am thrilled to hear of your determination and progress. I know you will reach your goal!
It is my hope David, also has his hearing restored.
Wishing you both peace and tranquility!
Thanks for sharing. Your writing is eloquent and moving!

Wow, Karenina! Thanks for the super sixer and the awesome review to go along with it. I didn't know about your son and the trials he and his family needed to go through in order to hear and walk. Thanks for sharing this courageous tale! I am grateful for your view of David and me and how we share disabilities he can walk and I can hear. Your wishes for my progress are appreciated and accepted as a gift from a good friend of which you are the very best.
Have a wonderful week,
Jesse
