A very good conclusion to your poetic story. I really like that you didn't use human rope or trash dumped into the sea. Good research finding a creature that resembles rope enough that it would seem plausible and fit the story.
Nice to have a friendly shark too.
Well done.

Thank you so much for this lovely review, Lancellot. It took a while to find it, but when I did, I couldn't believe how close to rope it looked. I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks! :)) Sandra xx

Children's stories are hard to write. It is tougher to keep a child interested because a child does not have the concentration of an adult. You have done it so wonderfully well in narrating this amazing tale. Well done! Thanks for sharing!

You wouldn't believe this, but I broke a tooth just as I was starting this story. Then I found out that both Poppy and Odi liked to swim and how Odi loves whales! The mermaid was for Poppy. So, it all fitted into place! Thank you so much for this lovely review, Sanku, and that gorgeous gold star. Most of all, thank you for all your support. I really did appreciate it. Warm hugs my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Hello Sandramitchell,
What a wonderful piece of Children Poetry this is!
Lucid as well as PERFECTLY matching the theme phraseology.
Enchanting flow throughout from the beginning to the end with LOVELY rhyming scheme.
It BEAUTIFULLY depicts a story having the Moral: A friend in need is a friend indeed. Moreover, for such friends there is no dearth of desired help in times of need.
Impressive Presentation!
Pictures enhance depth and beauty of the poem.
Short Synopsis and Author Note, of course, are just like its plus points.
BEST OF LUCK!!

Delightful story, Sandra! I love that you added more education about the sea whip and that you had a plethora of human and sea creatures all cooperate together to help another creature who was suffering.
I think you did a great job with the pictures you found on Pixabay!!

Overall this poem is good, and as you say Robert's fine style of poetry is excellent for poems for children. This last section seemed a bit long for children to me, I'm afraid their attention will wander. Maybe you can refine it a bit.
