This made me smile and dog owners can't budge without their dogs and some posh places ban them! Your photo is gorgeous, at least the dog blends in with your white furniture, I hope he doesn't have muddy paws! A fine write Sally, love Dolly x

Very amusing--my daughter's first concern is whether the hotel will accept pets--if not, she ain't gonna stay there! Whimsical piece--good choice of posh!

We live in a city where outdoor dining and hotels accommodates the pooches. Doggie day spa? Yep, we have them. I can understand the problems of finding a place that's budget-friendly though. My husband and I are the grandparents and dog-friendly. Thank you for the kind review, dear Liz.
    Blessings always,

Sounds like a great place for a dog to be! Really all dogs need is food, water and most of all love. This dog knew what was up. A great contest entry, best of luck to you. :)

What a sweet picture of such a lovely little girl and white-haired pooch. A poem and print combination to make us all smile. Thanks for sharing another enjoyable post.

Nice three line poem! It can be considered the first poem for both humans and dogs (The Beatles have recorded a song for both of them called "A day in the Life". But yours will be a Poem, that asks for goods to be "Dog Friendly".
Have a Wonderful Easter time, Sally!!

Well done! I can see your pup's eyes darting around the room as I read. :-) I love the picture your poem creates in my mind, and of course, your poem has excellent rhythm. I'm still trying to figure this part out In my own writing. Thank you for sharing. Hugs.

Who can resist a cuddly pooch who scopes out the terrain? I like the word posh, because it evokes plush as well -- soft, cozy and welcoming. The only question I have is about the last line. With all the caps it reads like a "rental wanted" ad. I'd like to think it is the pooch's thought, in which case I would lower case all but M in the last line.

Thank you for the lovely review and kind compliments. Yes, I meant the last line to read like an ad. It's very big down here. I was a Realtor for many years and the MLS oftentimes had this in the notes for pet-loving renters.

A succinct summary of a dog's perspective of being well received, despite the fancy surroundings. The clear connection between the child and the animal is obvious. Well done.

Hello Sally, this is a good 5/7/5 written true to form and you write about one great fuss-pot of a pooch. Good use of the word 'surveil' - new to the language and suits your poem well. Good use of alliteration in persnickety pooch. Hope it does well in the contest. Good luck - regards Dorothy xx

What a sweet picture, Sally, and you've managed to capture the perfect scenario to describe it in these three lines of poetry. "Must be dog friendly!" Love it. Good luck in the contest.
