Wow! What memories you shared with us. I loved reading this. I enjoyed all the little interesting facts like the mascara in that pink & green tub, the Po O' Gloss, the Moody Blues. This is very well-written. I like stories with a happy ending. I was getting a sonogram and somehow wound up talking about the technician's dating life. She had smeared a gooey substance on my chest. She said she never gets a second date. I said men don't like to go home slippery. It makes their wife suspicious.

This was a good contest. The stories are so interesting. That was sweet of you to pick your husband for the story. It sounds like he was your best first date of all first dates. Not many people have a lifetime love like yours. It was nice to read about such a relationship.
Your story really takes me back to a time when girls did not call boys. And to a time when high school students had meetings and busy schedules. I still wear Great Lash Mascara.
