I love wally and his antics. the whole piece rhymes perfectly, it flows with ease. I love it's sing song rhythm and its joy. Even the tragedy at the end is overcome positively which is perfect for little ones. I would defiantly read this to my kinder kids. cheers Julie D.

Yvonne,
I thought that was Wally's sketching? What's going on?
You spoiled it for me! You want my honest opinion? lol
Well, it looks like a weasel painted it.
I found your poem really well written with a great flow
and story line. What a pity that he took such a big
spill though.
Your imagery was beautiful and I felt like I was right
there with Wally experiencing the lovely mountain
scene.
I'm glad Wally has not retired...I think he is much
younger than you:) No need to retire. (Wally that is)

Wally's getting himself into strife again. I'm not si sure if the furry thing he saw was something that might chase him, or whether he might want to chase it! I know what Cheezel would do - he has a big thing for rabbits!
A small thing, but in a couple of places in stanzas 2&3 you use past tense, when all the rest is in present tense - should be a fairly easy fix...
Favourite lines:
He's lying flat, his head a-spin, poor Wally's seeing stars.
'Cause just as he flew over them, he hit the handlebars.

I once took a spill over my handle bars, too, but I seemed to be injured more than Wally! I also paint like Wally, maybe we could get together one day and share ideas? Good write. Tony

Hi DaMommy,
This is another really interesting poem about Wally Weasel. You sure are great at writing them. Lately my poetry doesn't seem to be getting hardly any reviews. Oh well, such is life.

I think it's because of the frenzy over Prince's death. Things will pick up, I'm sure. Thank you for your review. 8-)

It's too bad about Prince dying. Have you heard anymore about him? Why he died and so on. Kat
-
I heard about his death but nothing else. It's sad when anyone dies.

It is sad, unless they're on their way to heaven. Kat
