I really like this, for me, quite humorous poem. Wally having a great time, isn't that what life should be all about? He paints for the joy and happiness it brings to him. Love the artwork of Wally and his pondering of the colors that he may paint with.

Thank you. Wally doesn't care that he's not good. In fact, he thinks he is. But he loves color! He may have to realize someday that he needs to take up another hobby. LOL

Yes, joy and happiness is what's all about. If it ceases to be fun, then it's time to move on. 8-)

I enjoyed reading your lighthearted poem about the weasel artist.
Where is his blue beret? He sounds egotistical, but I'll forgive him
for that...I guess...he's still a weasel at heart.

This piece is great. It flowed well and rhymed all the way. I am no poetry expert but "Wally Weasel Loves to Paint" made me smile and think that this something I would read to my nieces and nephews. I can see a piece like this in a storybook collection. I definitely would like to see more of Wally Weasel.

Sounds like some fun coming up! Loved that description, 'a living breathing rainbow' - I could just imagine it! It brings back memories of my daughter and I rag painting a room once - a process that involved throwing paint-laden towels at the walls. We were both covered, head to toe! We were not popular! The room still looks pretty good though!

I can accomplish the same paint-covered state even with a roller. I don't know how that happens.

This has all the ingredients of an excellent children's poem. The language has lots of repetition of sounds which would make the poem fun to be read aloud to a child. There are also lots of action words so the poem could be acted out. An enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing.
