I'm glad you're ok! I really like that you can joke about this. This was very informing and interesting. I cringed a few times, especially imagining a freight-train trying to drive threw a straw. Great references. Your kidney won't get away with aiding that kidney stone in its escape! Stay strong! ^^ ~ Rose

Thanks Rose,
I am glad you enjoyed and yet felt informed. That is what I had hoped for. Yep, the urologist and those kidneys have an appointment again Tues to see what can be done.

This is your best writing yet. Wish I had a sixer left. I guess those stones are pretty painful. My nephew, the one in the wheelchair, had to get surgery for his. Doctor said he ate too many McDonald hamburgers. You show a delightful sense of humor in this post. Love the comparison to outlaw and interrogation. Also the title which you explain in the write. Good analogy. The opening with popular Kelly Clarkson is a good way to draw the reader in.

Thanks Shari,
I had hoped to share, inform and entertain at the same time. Your review is an affirmation of that. I appreciate your comments, and will take a virtual six anytime. Sorry Bobbie had that problem, it is very painful.
We women are better equipped to have 'big things coming out of little places' that are men. LOL

Very well documented passing of a stone my friend.. Hate to say it but it was a rather humorous tale the way it was told..But I did feel the pain and had a bit of cringe myself down there

Hi TK,
I am glad it made you smile. There's nothing worse than telling a tale of health with a frown on your face. LOL . I wanted it to be interesting enough to read and realistic enough to feel the pain. Guess it worked.

Don't worry TK, I have hit the wrong button before myself. Thanks for the upgrade. Glad you noticed it, I was certainly not going to mention it my friend.

This is yet another interesting and gritty post that the author has created with this piece of work. I will read that Bible passage whenever I get a chance. Well done.

Hi Carolyn,
What a great story that you've written, although sad and painful. You sure are great at writing both poetry and stories. I'm so sorry about the mean kidney stone that wouldn't leave you alone. I pray that never happens to me. I have enough things wrong in my body already.

And I will pray for that too Kat. No one needs a kidney stone.
You have enough going on, BTW, are you doing any better.
Thank you for that bright and shining cross.
Take care of yourself,
Love, Carolyn

Well, I have headaches every day. It seems that they jump from one spot to another. Thankfully I found bufferin that is helping.

How painful this sounds Carolyn. I hope you will be ok and the antibiotics will help. I hope your doctor finds the source of this and can help you heal. I love how you always look on the bright side of things: what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Take the necessary rest to heal!

Thanks Sarah,
I appreciate your fine comments. Yes it is always better to find the bright side instead of dwelling on the gloom. I go to the urologist Tuesday so should know more then.

Hi Carolyn,
and how are you feeling now? Hope you are better.

Carolyn, This is a very funny account of a serious situation. Never had a kidney stone; never want to have one. Personification of that guy wanting out of jail on a rampage was unique.
Also is comparative phrase "...a freight train making its way through a kitchen straw," is unusual. I was wondering if there is background on that phrase in your mind?
Sorry for your pain, but consider this...you secured a poem out of it.

Hi Janet,
Thanks so much for your comments. I'm glad you liked the account of my most recent malady. The freight train making its way through a straw, came to me as I was passing the stone. I was amazed that it was only the size of a large pea, considering how humongous it felt. LOL

I like your comparison of a full size freight train going through a
kitchen straw. That hurts just thinking of how painful a kidney
stone is. I also like your author notes about where your strength
really comes from. I hope you don't have to fight with any other
kidney stones.

Thanks for your comments. I should know more soon about treatment if anymore are in there. Yes , Philippians 4-13 is one of my favorites. We can use that one everyday.

Thanks Cookie,
It is an excruciating experience. I'll know more about treatment and if more are there in a few days. Sorry your daughter went through that , its sweet you would have shared her pain. Mothers are like that, aren't we.
I use Phil 4:13 everyday.
Love, Carolyn

I can relate 100%, Carolyn, I had one when I was about 28 years old, (a long time ago). I can honestly say it was the worst pain. Now pain was the centre of my universe, I passed the stone just before the X-Ray, guess what...no stone! I've never had a problem since! I can relate to the cold sweat too. So with God's help, maybe it'll be fine. It's the ones that don't or won't move, that can be a problem, well done, we have something in common dear sister, blessings, Roy.

Thanks Roy, I am so sorry you have had that experience, but as you say that is one more thing we have in common. If there are anymore in there I should know in a few days and what the recommended treatment will be.
Tell Elaine hello,

With God's help maybe OK. I've said a prayer for you, I didn't know Him at the time! See how good He is. I can trace that pattern before I knew Him! He saw me in the womb, and you and Larry, and Elaine, and offspring....Elaine says hello back to you and Larry, blessings, Roy.
