What a fun contest! I love the Eagles, love the fact the contest is not blind, and am enjoying the different interpretations of the titles. Love your take on "One of These Nights." Very fun look at seduction. Nice rhyming couplets that flow well. I enjoyed the lightness of the poem! My best good luck wishes in the contest. Sue

I love the picture. I love the poem. I love the author notes. Couples do have to make time for each other. Our lives can get pretty busy with work, children and house. But we do have to remember it is couples first some time. In the end, it will be just the two of your together. Great work.

Debra;
Ooh La La.... What a night he's going to have! I like your writing very much and good luck in the contest but this is a very exceptionally humorous poem and I enjoyed reading this very much.
Your resume in rhyming was done very well in your rhythm flowed smoothly throughout your writing and your rhythm was neither forced nor labored and seemed to help with the rhythmic flow. However there is a few rhymes that I thought was a little bit forced but not entirely labored.
Your writing itself and its imagery was very descriptive and eloquently expressive throughout your writing.
Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing and posting it may the Lord be with you always.

Very steamy! Her husband's a senior pastor of a Pentecostal church? :) Maybe a Roman Catholic priest? I don't which one's heart would stop first...Anyway, you've done quite a fine job of showing readers a hot-blooded woman:)
Hits the spot.

I remember those days of yore when my kids kept my wife busy all day and wore her out. Then "one of those nights" she would surprise me the way the Speaker does here. I like the light-hearted TONE of this poem which reveals a woman who would be a lover, not just a mother. Nicely done!

Hi Rod :) Thank you for your great feedback, glad you enjoyed this and that it brought back memories for you! It's hard to switch off mother mode and switch on lover mode - not impossible though! Kindest regards, Debra :)

I won't read this to my husband, he might think his luck is changing and his blood pressure would shoot up! LOL, you little temptress! What was his answer, or is that private!! I love your poems, they are never serious, just real good fun. Don't say that to your hubby! LOL. Good luck in the contest, Debra! xsx Sandra

LOL! Thanks Sandra for your great feedback :) Glad you enjoyed the humour in this! I'm sure Shaun would appreciate me making the effort but I'd much prefer a cup of tea and a bar of chocolate in front of the tv after a day shift with the kids! Not that he's deprived, mind you lol! Lots of love, Debra xx
