This chapter has a strong sense of Doctrex sounding like a hero already, but still most enjoyable. I like that there is a strong sense of morality in the writing, Giddy

Thank you, Giddy. Doctrex seems to have a strong need for doing what's right!

This was a very nicely written chapter. Your words really put me into the action in this excellent piece of work. I loved the storyline. But, the dialog was the best. It really set off the moods of the two men. It was interesting enough to hold my attention all the way through. I really enjoyed reading this piece.
Always with respect,

There is always someone in a military unit that has a sure fire way to make a little bit of money. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

I'd be willing to bet that someone is profiting a pretty penny from "disposing" of the crossans, as well. I got so swept up in the drama of the crossans and the power play between Doctrex, the entrance guard, and the Commander that I completely forgot to look for any spags. Guess that means this chapter must have been fairly clean? ;)
If you're smart - and I think you are - you've set the scene for there to be future trouble between Doctrex and the Commander. And don't think I missed that little clue about Doctrex' memory being tickled at the mention of "study in behavior", either. It will be interesting to see where this leads.

JB, I am stunned! Thank you so much for your gift of 6! Well, at least the spags that tend to jump right out and slap at ya didn't do it. I am so stoked that you caught a clue to Doctrex's character and their bumping of heads. Look forward to having you come back.

Thank you! It's good to be coming back. Believe it or not, I've been hit by an idea for another trilogy, so I've been sketching that out and filling it in to see if it's anything worth pursuing. Not to worry, though, I've now got the bare bones of that plot down, so I can get back to finishing up the editing on my current project and get it posted. ;)

Keep those new ideas coming. That's an important a process as any other.
