I am not sure what they look for in the contest either Roy, I have yet to win one by committee vote. I have won a few prompts etc. However, if what I am going to write falls into a contest time line, I go ahead and enter as it cost nothing. LOL Maybe someday we will both hit it lucky. This was a good entry for the 5-7-5. Great alliteration with "Rare restored relics". I love the picture. That looks like a very old doll. Do you know how old it is?

I actually did not get a near date on this one, but will check tomorrow when I go in. She was a sweet piece to work on. I had the privilege of attaching her arms and legs back to the body. We all had a part in getting her fit as a fiddle again. Thank you Connie for your interest. :-) Carolyn

Poem is just as beautiful as the doll. I can see this one in a pale pink and white Victorian style dress, a parasol in her hand and a large matching hat on her head. She is very gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.

This 5/7/5 celeb requirement that you have written is not only expressive but very illuminative and where the creativeness is not just the poem but the actual work on doll from the beginning of conception to the final product That is a beautiful workmanship Of a reconstruction. Hey, I like that, do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life. That's how art is to me. When I paint, draw or restore broken treasures I am completely content. I also teach children's art classes about seven months out of the year. So I do stay busy. Thank you for your comments and for liking this one. :-) Carolyn
