This is an absolutely gorgeous poem! I LOVED everything about it: the background color, the artwork, the words. A contest winner for sure . . I look forward to reading more from you. GREAT job! Audrey

Yay! An original piece about snow that doesn't beat me over the head with worn out cliches. I thought this was an excellent five seven five that made great use of a subtle alliteration in warm white to tie the whole thing together nicely. Great work, thanks for sharing.

Baby, it's cold outside. And my friend is sending me pictures of her trip to Aruba. Ya, nice friend. Anyway, this made me think of that. Good job.

My backyard is getting more snow in a day or two I'm told. The red birds look like tree ornaments against the brilliant white. Thanks for the wonderful review and fun comments. :-) Carolyn

LOL. Sometimes I wish we had snow here, but I get to thinking, and I second guess myself. I wouldn't want to drive in the snow. I'd be so scared. I think it snows in NC though, and I'm moving there the end of next year. I enjoyed this poem. I loved the line 'nocturnal head trip'. It's a nice way to describe a dream. :). ~ Rose

Yes girl, you might not get snow in Alabama, but you will see some in NC. Although I think it is in select areas. I am glad you enjoyed this one Rose. Snow is pretty but nasty to drive in. Have a great week, :-) Carolyn

the tropics are over-rated. . .the picture from your back yard reminds me of mine and the hot tub in it and when things look like this are the best times to sit in it.

I do like the phrase nocturnal head trip though

I don't have a hot tub outside but I have been in one while it snowed. That is an awesome experience. The only thing is, I almost froze when I stood up. LOL Thanks for the great review and rating. :-) Carolyn

Dear Carolyn, beautiful snow pic from your back yard - I love snow before Christmas - it gets me in the fun spirit like my kids. This is lovely and well penned.
Thanks for sharing and good luck.

I don't think there is any doubt we will have a white Christmas, at least in many neighborhoods. We are leaving for Phoenix, AZ on the 18th, if it is warm enough I may 'lay out' just because I can. LOL . Thanks dear Maureen for this great review. Glad you liked my backyard. :-) Carolyn
