I don't even know how to put such a work of art into words. It is phenomanal! I have never read a poem that gripped me so much. You can tell you are either in love or been in love. You nailed this one Padre. I only wish I could give you 6 stars, but I am out.

A very heart wrenching story of an endless love generated by deep abiding and emotional love between two people that are intense lovers. Love means never having to leave you without pledging an undying love. Here, love means hang in there for the two of us because we love each other so very much.

This is a gorgeous piece Greg - it's simply your own style of "Free Verse". (Blank verse, by the way, is strict iambic pentameter - think Shakespeare). Free verse can be whatever you want it to be - you can dispense with a lot of punctuation, upper case ... you can have a 'phrase' be a line ... and to write it well, you imagine it always as being read ALOUD. That's the key for me - there has to be a solid theme running thru the whole thing, like one continuous thought (oops - that's for ME I'm talking about). Free verse should be understandable, accessible - and then I love to play with internal rhyming, alliteration and assonance which I think of as "music". We look like we're on the same page, my friend!

Yes! You use the correct labels or terms. You are obviously very educated in this. I have no idea what half the terms are so thank you. I just write and try to make it flow well while expressing what I'm trying to get across. As I said in my intro, literally every word in every line is deliberately placed and has a specific meaning. My friends just think they are pretty words but there's a reason behind them and a deeper meaning. Thank you so much for your kind words, really. Coming from you that means so much. Yes I do think we are on the same page! :)

Favorite phrases: "...begins to begin again" , "to title a feeling" , and of course "If I did find this feeling within a few letters" and "she was the reason it asked to beat again."
The line "But when mere days turn to decades..." threw me off a bit, until I realized it was because you state in your Author's notes that you two were just married. Independent of that knowledge this line makes perfect sense.
