Well! Sounds like you've got your work cut-out for you over the next ten days, John. :-) Hope you return to us in the New Year, though it sounds like it may take you a while to recover. Can't wait to see the result of the research, though. Remeber to post it or we'll be hounding you.
The best of luck in the coming New Year.
Regards, anabelle

Wow. Excellent job here. I had to go back up to the top and check and see if it was fiction or non. Was kinda bummed that it turned out to be fiction. Your vivid descriptions and imagery brought the story alive. Very well crafted. I thought I was there. Great job.

Very good story. I think we would all like to have a friend give us someone like that. I think your entry for the contest is excellent good luck.

Ah, wantonness, what a great word. To Gia, they are all johns, though this one's dunked 5 martinis and counting. (omg, i'm counting his drinks, what's wrong with me?) Not really sure why you opted for a colon in place of a comma in the last line. Good luck in the contest

I expected them to at least make it to the dinner table. NOT!!!!!!!! Very well written.
"Not at all. I enjoy a good mystery."
"Well, I'm down at the Botero Gallery Bar in a table with a beach view. Perhaps you could come down for a cocktail and we can properly introduce ourselves." (Same person is speaking, why separate paragraphs?
I had no idea that she knew so many other authors (you don't need 'that')

John, this is absolutely fantastic. You have captured the essence of Gia perfectly. This entry is one of your best stories--you've fluently described every nuance and detail to make this one sizzling read. Your romantic side radiates in this one. I have a feeling this one is the winner.

I think it has to be cheating, putting that picture in there. I was predisposted to liking it before I read a word. Once I began reading it, I enjoyed it more. I looked for spags, but found none. Excellent writing.
