Excellent work on crafting an amazing poem. Your internal rhymes add a depth to this work and the creative concept of humans and trees is new and interesting. Well done and good luck.

An excellent entry for the one Word Base poem contest. I am intrigued by these creatures you have created and I hope you have plans to write a book about them. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, you hit the nail on the head. Definitely, thinking about it. As the storyline seems to be coming almost unbidden. So we'll go with the flow and see what happens. Thanks, marilyn.Once again.I'm happy to see you here! Have an awesome evening!

Fantastic monorhyme poem, Lea! You definitely exceeded the requirements of this contest. This should be a sure winner.
Such a neat followup to your previous poem about this unusual hybrid couple tasked with repopulating the earth with a new species. These accompanying pictures are fantastic too. I really loved this poem.

you nailed the format of this contest and created a rich world filled with alien creatures. I like the image chosen and like these lines the best
Ancient ooze the last to wait
distilate
Human tree a hybrid state
inseminate
Mixed genes rolling dice bent gate
commiserate
Set the stones with strong debate
retaliate

Wow, stunning review, stunning stars. Bobbit, thank you so very much. Your words always inspire me. Miss rockin redhead! I have been taken over by the writing Bub. Then fleshing out my chapters, creating different poetry. Tried one of those 10 lines, 2 stanza's Atlantic parameter typhones. That was a challenge. I don't think I got it right. But well, what are you going to do? Thank you again this is awesome!! Hope your night's great!

Now this is how I interpreted this brief as a monorhyme with your base word, create. You really are on a roll with this theme, Lea! The visual is amazing and the woman reminds me of you:) I think I'd like to go through this metamorphosis! What a great word, 'primordiate' and they all link together so well. Your wonderful verse is vividly bursting forth with new life, a hybrid between human and tree and creating immense power and beauty. This theme, inevitably, born from your passion for trees and nature evolves into a brave new world, perhaps. Well done and good luck, Lea. Warmest wishes, Debbie.

Once again the most amazing review! You see things so succinctly very cool! I'm glad you like it. I'm glad you're enjoying artwork and word play and all that! And you're right. I do love the mountains and the trees and all things natural. I don't hate that thought. I'm not having any trees! A few humans that I quite adore need to hang around too! Thank you. I really appreciate this in your time. Words. And your thoughts and insights. Always a pleasure. Have a wonderful holiday. I don't talk to you again.I'm going to you and yours have all the best!

You are having fun with these hybrids half human half tree creations Lea and I am enjoying your musings. Do you think that humans could inherit the seasonal shedding of leaves every year? This could leave these humans with no hair! A fun post and I enjoyed the creative end rhymes too, love Dolly x x x

This contest entry has left me speechless. I'm not even sure what to say about this BOLD poem. The rhyming scheme and the one-word statements are amazing. I doubt you'll need it but good luck with the contest.
