Thank you for putting a smile on my face! Bill Belicheck, former coach of the Patriots has been dating a 24-year-old cheerleader, since his retirement. The mere 50 year age gap doesn't seem to bother him any. Short term rental maybe, but it's feminine supervision and he will not be eating Xmas dinner alone. Your theory might have something to it...scientific or not.

Truth is, Terry, all my women have been short-term rentals. Some shorter than others. Feminine supervision will not cure what ails me. I had more than my share of feminine supervision growing up. My mother was a lulu.
Oh, I love and admire women. I just prefer to love and admire in short doses. I say I'm easily distracted. Many of my past loves refer to me as a cad. The truth, as always, lies somewhere in the middle.

Anyway, I love your blend of truth and absurdity. No one can be truly truthful without acknowledging that life is 75% absurd. Eugene Ionesco was on to something.

My advice? Rent. At our age who needs to own?

Hang in there, Terry. I think I saw Dr Hart throw you a wink. You could do worse, Bubala!

Peace, Lee

Heaven forbid plans for a quiet day watching a (hopefully) great football game be inadequate!

I have confidence you would not be snacking on meow mix -- you're pretty darn good at life without "female supervision."

You're right, though. There is a whole lot of care and concern here on FS and even though I know who " the worrier" was you and I both know her heart was in the right place!

Leave it to specialists to only focus on their "slice of the pie."

Somehow, I laughed hardest at Medicare footing the bill for a glorified dating app!

Merry Christmas, Terry!

Hi Terry, humor is the best medicine. As far as the feminine supervision, women make a man's blood boil, either romantically or with rage.
Either way, a man knows that he's alive. I'm sorry that you haven't been feeling well. Go out for lunch and eat dessert--every day--and take one of those short-term rentals with you. Who knows? One day, they may move in permanently. Lol. Big-teeth smile. Margaret

I'm glad people are asking after you. Well, I didn't ask what you're doing but asked after your health. And this humorous fiction worked as a creative answer!
Did anyone check to see about a hernia? Lately, two people I know had gastric issues and ended up with a hernia surgery. Hope you regain your health with or without adopting a woman. LoL.

Like Lee humpwhistle, you're good at tongue in cheek, I was wondering about female supervision though, (although some may not need it) my wife visited our elder child in Brisbane (2000 kms away) in the company of our younger daughter and grands, so I was left to my own devices and the company of our male Moodle dog, but the house was pretty messy, and although I can cook, I didn't eat well, would you, or could recommend a specialist, no, hang on, my wife's back, well done, Blessings Roy

This is quite a humorous story. It is true that medical specialists only diagnose and treat their area of expertise. The humor was in the idea that Medicare would pay for companionship, even if it promoted health. Not one of the specialists in you story suggested joining a social group. The patient still wouldn't have someone to supervise him, but studies show social activity prolongs life. Great story.

I actually see merit in this story. I have often worried about what would happen to my husband, if anything happened to me. I had fun reading. Oh, by the way, any prospects???

I continued. "Of course, it was a leftover chocolate, (continued,)

Dr. Hart inquired. "How old is Lou Ann?" (inquired,)

The cardiologist spoke. "A younger woman might give you more (spoke,)
