Comment from Bill Schott
This poem, Path to Heaven, presented with six rhyming couplets, acts as a call to action for those who are "almost persuaded" and need to commit to a life of giving and trust which eludes the rest of the world.

Ciao,
It seems that the devil has the upper hand.
I read last week that one million abortions were done in 2023.
!7,000 children in Gaza have been killed since Oct 7th 2023
More than 4 thousand have lost a limb or both.
Children are starving in Gaza because Food Aid organizations had to abandon the Strip because the IDF was just bombing everywhere regardless of the civilians.
In America at the Southern border, children are being raped as they wait to cross and be sold by cartel members into sex trafficking.
After the Epstein scandal, now the Diddy Combs after-party scandal..seems he is involved in sex trafficking too.
Elon Musk puffs out his chest proclaiming that thanks to his electric cars people in America are breathing cleaner air.
But he doesn't mention the children in the Congo who are working in open mines.
Desperate people searching for cobalt needed to make batteries for his electric cars.
The air, water, and soil are contaminated and children as young as 4 with bare hands search heap after heap for the precious metal.
The same is happening in the 14 mines of Nichel in Indonesia the world's largest producer... nickel is also needed to build electric batteries.
The waste of the mines has contaminated the soil and the sea. Fishermen must go out kilometres to find fish to eat.
We exploit, and trash the home planet God gifted us.
He sent His own Son to die for our sins and this is how we repay HIM
Our leaders seek power and wealth and don't care about us. America, Europe, and Ukraine are playing a dangerous game that could ignite WW3.
Only with the help of God and his teachings can we find our way back to the light.

And on top of your very well made out list, look what biden just did, right at his last bit of time of office. He sent US missles to Ukraine and told them to use them on Russia. That was such a dirty thing to do as one of his last mean shots when he knew that Trump wanted to end all wars. And what a rotten place to leave Trump.
You were so very thorough with all the topics and facts against sin!!
Thank you for that. You amaze me sometime. I love your facts and your opinion on things, and I do appreciate your six stars too!!
Thank you so very very very much, my awesome friend. You are such a special friend. Love, Debi

Storm Shadow long-range missiles are an English/French production and yes
Biden gave the okay to use them on Russian territory despite Putin saying there would be serious consequences.
Our leaders are playing around with our lives.
Biden left a dirty Christmas present, anything to disrupt Trump's plan to end the war in Ukraine.
People are tired of seeing their tax money going to Ukraine when it is needed at home.
Already 170 billion has been sent to that pit hole. Zelensky and his government are corrupt to the bone.
Last night I followed yet another economist who said that America has been printing money it doesn't have since 2000.
He said America is headed for a Depression worse than the 1929 one.
Hopefully, Trump can stall the inevitable.
The economist said maths doesn't lie. And when America falls all the West will too.
Europe is already finished.

This is such a wonderful poem. It's all about being saved and in God's grace. I'm sorry about your friend; no sin is unforgivable. I hope she knew this.

This poem fits perfectly for Faith poetry contest. Many are called but a few will pass through the gate of heaven. We two choices in life as you noted, a path to life, or path to everlasting damnation. Well presented, my friend, Debi. Remain blessed.

Esostine, you are so very sweet and I appreciate you greatly, my friend.
I didn't enter the faith contest, but just thought about if there was anyone who hadn't turned their lives over to Christ, maybe they needed to hear some of what God wants us to speak about.
Thank you for the kind message and the generous six stars too. You are so very gracious, my wonderful brother in Christ. Love, Debi

Debi,
I felt like I could step directly into your poem. That the words were pointed directly at me because of my past.
I believe in God. I just didn't know how to hear Him. How do I get Him to speak to me?
Your line is all telling-
Our sin will follow us around, unless we can repent
I'll carry that weight until I leave this earth.
Sorry. Didn't mean to throw this on you, but your poem was that well written. Easily read and validated!
Thank you for posting it.

Ooh, John, it is not so hard to receive forgiveness and Christ in your life. All you need is to speak to a Christian and then tell Jesus you are sorry and your sins will be washed away forever.
You asked how you can hear Him? Oh, Hon, it is so wonderful to hear Him speak to you and have Him hold you when you need it. And even men need His comfort.
You threw that at me because Jesus put it in your heart. Thank you for that.
I would love to think you are my brother in Christ as well. Please know I am here for you. Love ya dear brother. Debi

Thanks for sharing and listening to the Spirit to write this poem about the urgency to turn to the Lord and be saved. We never know how much time we have left in this world and we want everyone we know to come to faith!

Thanks so very much for your approval of my poem. I figured since we all are going into the holidays and they are very full of sinfulness, even tho the holiday is about our Christ child, people don't necessarily think of Christmas that way. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. Lotsa love, Debi
Comment from Carol Hillebrenner
This is a good poem to suggest to many they could do better. I don't believe everyone needs to be born again. I lost a teaching job because I would not lie and say I was born again. I was born handicapped and since I heard about Jesus at 3 or 4 I have never doubted He is my best friend.

Then actually Carol, you just were born again at a young age. I know other wonderful Christians such as yourself who have always been devoted to the Lord. You just had your natural birth and the second birth followed at soon as you met Jesus, and what a wonderful realization that must be.
I always loved Him too and thought I was on the right track, but fell into partying when I was old enough to drink and then thought fun was more important than leading a life close to Christ. I then found Jesus again when I was married. And truthfully my poem was about reaching out to those who had not yet found Jesus. I'm feeling good about so many say that they
So anyway, I just think it is wonderful that you have lived a great life for Jesus. May that continue till you go to be with him.
Have a wonderful thanksgiving, my dear friend. Love, Debi

I loved the reference to the My body, my choice. That is such a sticky subject. I agree it is your own body, but the second a new life is put there, you are a garden. Let the child blossom. Following God isn't always easy, but it is always right. Your poem spoke to me. Beautifully written. Gretchen

Gretchen, I cannot thank you enough for such a beautiful review, sweetest ever words and gracious six stars. Most important, I am so happy about what you said about babies should not be aborted. I didn't want to hit too heavy on that today but I know so many women like my friend who were pushed into an abortion, suffered for so many years, it finally killed her.
Thank you again, my sweet friend. Love, Debi

Preach! In this poem, you have spoken like a true evangelist, calling people to put Jesus first.
Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:13-14

Hello my Dearest Lorraine, and thanks so very much for such an awesome review for my path to Heaven poem. I appreciate all your kind words. Thanks again, my dear friend. Thank you for including Matthew 7:13:14, as I should have had that in my notes.
