Knew it, knew it. (That place where Donatelli is holed up got me interested the moment you added it LOL)
The part with the Judge was well done, I love the way you brought in that he isn't as in control as he thinks.
I just know you are going to bring him down and can't wait to find out how.
This story is, like all good crime stories, a spider web that allows you to see the threads, but not yet the way they will all be drawn in, and I fully expect some twists and turns I can't predict are waiting on the horizon.

Carol, I really like how you weave the lives of the fictional Tony Soprano with the very real Judge Doyle (what am I saying? this is fiction I'm reviewing, lol!). It adds texture and a human side to the judge. We all like to watch TV and we all have our "heroes".
Learning more about the town with this chapter. Thanks for filling us in and setting the scene.

Thanks, Pam. Even the bad guys are human and have another side to them, unfortunately they don't share it much. I am thankful that I could draw you into the story and into is character. Thank you so much.

Doyle is a disgusting character, but somehow, I've forgotten how Margaret was connected to him. I thought she died because she was related to Jenna and Eleanor who he blames for his imprisonment.
I'm glad Danni was familiar with the biker bar and old abandoned house. They are moving closer to Matthew, even though he has lost his memory. If Eleanor and Danni find him, he will be surrounded by three ghosts.

That was part of it, but Doyle was having an affair with Margaret, and when he wanted to get back at Eleanor and Margaret, he kidnapped Megan (her daughter) and was going to have her sold in human trafficking.
Danni doesn't realize that she might have a clue yet, but she has set Eleanor's curious mind in motion.
Thanks for the awesome review and your continuing support.

So, Doyle raped Jenna and got her pregnant. What a creep of a father for her child. Everyone doesn't yet seem to be too worried about Donatelli, although Eleanor is becoming anxious since she can't sense him anywhere at all. I was hoping she could be drawn to him when he regains consciousness, but since he doesn't know who he is, he can't think of her.

No, he hired someone to do it. He's in prison so he couldn't do it. He just wanted to upset another apple cart. He's so cold that it meant nothing to him. Yes, Donatelli needs his memory back soon.

Doyle's need for power comes through clearly. I couldn't help but feel the tension when he interacts with Rossi. The mix of menace and arrogance in those moments makes Doyle such a fascinating character. Plus, the eerie mystery surrounding Rebecca's family is definitely something I want to know more about! Keep it up, you're doing great!

As usual an exquisite offering. I really enjoyed this chapter, as it is giving us the right amount of funny combined with enough suspense to make us wait for the next chapter. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

That doesn't sound good for Rebecca. I'm glad Eleanor and Danni are on it, and I hope this leads them to Donatelli. So, is someone actually curtailing Doyle's control a bit? Who is Rossi, and who does he work for? Rossi's got it right that Doyle is disgusting. Good chapter. Hugs! Carol

Vince Rossi is the attorney for the mob... Doyle thinks he's in control of his little world but someone is always watching with their finger on the trigger. Thanks so much for the comments and review.

Thank you. You might want to add Rossi to the list of characters.

Carol,
Another awesome chapter to your #1 best selling book. I can't wait until you get more chapters written. You leave your reader hanging on the edge as usual.

Carol,
You are correct. It does take time and money. I never realized how expensive it can be.
Are you going to be writing when you go on vacation? It negates being on vacation if you are writing. You my friend will do what is best for you.
Cecilia.
