This is a great song. I wondered first when I was reading, Hey what style is this ha! Until I saw chorus and verses. It's a cool song doe the back story about the drug, looking forward to hearing it some day. Well done, and good luck!

These awesome lyrics show real talent. I started out writing song lyrics, but never learned to play any kind of instrument, so even though my songs had a tune, I was unable to produce it on an instrument and had difficulty finding a partner to play the music. I have a song written about a couple I used to work with that I am convinced would be successful with a musical accompanist.

a powerful and moving poem about the drug overdose epidemic plaguing the country. My college housemate became a meth head and it almost killed him. One day he woke up and realized that the next hit would kill him and he was not ready to die as he had just met the love of his life who became his wife. He just quit cold turkey. Some people can do that, others need multiple trips to rehab and sadly some never recover and die.
He has been drug-free for almost thirty years, he still drinks beer and occasionally wine or bourbon but does not smoke weed anymore.

A magnificent entry for the contest. Your song touches on something that should be high priority in this day and age. Fentanyl is becoming the drug of choice, and unfortunately, it doesn't take very much to kill. thank you for sharing.

I read last year about the new drug that turns users into zombies which has infested the streets of America .
It's arrived in my country now too. Drugs laced with a horse tranquilliser.
This is another issue the government should do more about instead of spending money on the transgender agenda it loves so much.
I'm sorry to hear you knew so many that died of drugs.
Your lyrics have a strong emotional impact , I will come back to hear the music.

I thought your son has a dreamy quality that I really appreciate. I especially like the chorus - "no time to burn the clouds away" and "feel the moon go round and round". I think that will really work well when it is sung. Your song is wonderful and filled with emotion. Great job!
