We're still getting frost at night - so winter is trying hard to keep spring away. But I will wait patiently for the lilies - they're pushing through, but not warm enough to bloom yet. Great personification.

I really enjoyed the progression of your poem from the physical lingering of the season of winter that keeps hanging on to the emotional winter of grieving that lingers in the soul. Beautifully done!

I remember some winters back in the Midwest. They did seem to drag on and on. It caused some depression which quickly left when spring finally arrived. I enjoyed reading this poem. I am so happy you're posting more often again. Thank you.
