Welcome back Yvette, once you left, after being so heavily involved, like some I didn't think you'd be back, but here you are again, in the proverbial flesh, as if you never left, welcome back, albeit temporarily, even Robyn Corum's here agin after an absence. Well done, blessings Roy

Hello, my friend!! So good to hear from you again -- and, unless life has another insane curve ball lined up in the bullpen for me, there should not be another hiatus lined up any time soon... although I will not be on as frequently as before until summer's here and I've only the one job to work around... :-) Thanx for the BEAUTIFUL STARS and have a wonderful week down there! :-)

Good to see you again Yvett

Nice complementary picture art choice.
"On filagree" Did you mean filigree?
"Life's gray and green" Indeed, life is seldom simply black or white, but a whole milieu of complications.
Is this about some respite from the pain of lost love?
Met the line and syllable count requirements for this poem type/contest. Good luck.

Thanx so much for your thoughtful and, yes, insightful review -- such are always so appreciated! Here's wishing you a wonderful week ahead... :-)

I am glad you are back. The poem portrays your realism: "Life's grey and green." It also personifies your karma---what will be, will be. You also very well bring forth the forgetting of your past for a new future. Well written.

Thanx for your time and your review.

Thank you. It's good to be back although I don't think I will be as active as I have been in the past.

Welcome back, Yvette. This breathes a sigh of relief as it flows in and out of consciousness and shares how glad you are to be back on track and in the right state of mind, haha.
Thanks for returning, we sure need the blood of the old-timers.

Thanx so much for the review, sir -- however, you've got me a little worried with the final comment there: are there a lot of 'newcomers' that make life 'interesting' these days? :-) :-) I guess I get to find out as I read the reviews... Thanx again and have a great week!
-
Yes, Yvette. You'll get to meet many of the newbies and learn how they differ from the old-timers.
Good luck.

-It is great to see you Yvette.
-Thanks for sharing the beautiful
artwork, presentation, and notes.
-You have been greatly missed.
-I can't imagine full time teaching and another job!
-I even made an even the odds contest
once, and people seemed to like it. I
have always liked that form and still use it.
-A well written minute poem with a good topic.
-Effective imagery and rhyme.
-I like the second verse with the "in between,
Life's gray and green."
-A good concluding verse, as well.
-Good luck in the contest and welcome back!!

Thanx so much for the (as always!) thoughtful and insightful review, Pam, and a special thanx for the 'welcome back'! It has been quite a wonderful experience to dip my toe in the water again... have missed my poet's pen... Have a great week! :-)
-
You are very welcome, Yvette and I am very glad you're dipping your toe in. There have been many fond memories of the forms and contests you created. I love the even the odds form and others that you did. Hope things continue to go your way!!

Very good, I like this, a lot. All about it is beauty, the image, the background and the text all in blue. I found the final couplet to be simply sublime. Thank you for sharing.

I was startled to reality when I saw your name on my list of incoming, Yvette. I had wondered if something permanent had befallen you. So very glad to see you are back.
Your minute poem seems to hint to the passing seasons and, perhaps, passing tribulations. Hope your absence here was a need for your full attention on a positive project.
I see that Helen has already pointed out that "filigree" was misspelled. Now I will have two of you correcting me. Can't wait. I may spell words wrong on purpose. (That sounds like a good excuse already).

LOL! Oh my goodness, but I have missed you, Bill -- so thankful for the smiles you never fail to distribute with your pen! Now I know it was the right time to come back.... However, that's a big 'negatory' on the positive project... unless one considers 'rebuilding' a 'positive' note. Although, here in this place and time, I can actually say it's a positive... just took some 'getting here', I suppose... And I am now fully settled into a new life in a new home (aptly named my 'Hobbit Habitat')... Look forward to more smiles and honesty!! Thanx Bill!!

This really is a quite beautiful read. The words flow together so well to show life's blend of good and bad and in between. The background color and the picture compliment the words perfectly.

Luscious wording in this accomplished Minute poem. You set the tone and atmosphere beautifully.
Filigree reality! How that creeps upon us. Yet there's nostalgia for dreams now lost in mists of time.
Good to see you back!

That was lovely, Yvette, a lovely but a little sad. I'm so pleased to see you back, dear friend. I know you've been through a lot, and it's nice to hear you're back writting again. You've made an excellent start, and I wish you good luck in the contest. :))
You know what I'm going to ask, don't you? Are you finishing "THE GARDENS OF WEATHERBURY"? I've lost count of how long I've waited to find out what or who Devining is!!! Love and hugs, dear friend, and it's lovely to see you back! Sandra xx

Oh my goodness, you remembered!! You have no idea how much your question has brightened my day -- when life kinda fell apart, I guess so much of that I tried to 'move on' from... I promise to try and get back to that this summer!! You take care over there and thanx so much for YOU! :-)

Of course I remembered, I was the one always nagging you for the next chapter!! 😂🥰 It's good to have you back, dear friend. xx
