Not even eye surgery can slow you down, sunshine sister! Another lovely birthday poem filled with interesting facts I did not know. Happy Birthday to Anne!

Hey Debi, I don't believe I have signed into FanStory in 10 days. I am really working trying to get my entrepreneurial juices flowing. I have a business coach who is "lovingly" pushing me far beyond my comfort zone as far as work work work. Also, our grandson is staying with us for approximately 10 days while his parents and sisters are in Puerto Rico on a missions trip. Jadon and I are enjoying some GRAMPS time together.

This is a sweet poem for such a sweet lady. I have read some of her devotionals, and they're quite good. I didn't realize she was 85. Thanks for all the kind things you wrote about her. You used some cute rhymes, too.
Blessings. Carol

Your birthday poem for Anne was great, Debi.
You gave readers some great and interesting
facts about her. Of course, your signature style
was perfect for this tribute. I have read and reviewed
many of Anne's poems. They've been uplifting and
positive. I liked the verse about her working life. I
knew she had a strong work ethic. Your words flowed
smoothly with great rhymes and details which created
special imagery.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Thank you so much, Debi, for this beautiful poem. You are such a blessing and I thank the Lord for your friendship. I had a lovely birthday, had lunch with my daughter, her husband, my nephew, and my Pastor and his wife. I am so thankful for the way the Lord has blessed me and hope I may continue to be a shining light for Him. I was away last week, so have a lot of messages to get caught up on. Hope you came through your surgeries and everything is going well.

Typo: a lovely poem for Anne and your words are true to her lovely character and desire to serve Jesus. Well done. I join in sending her love and birthday wishes.

Thank you so much Wendy for that catch. What would I do without you?
I don't want to miss even the little ones like that which are detrimental to the poem. So I appreciate you, as always my sweet friend. Thanks again!!!!

There's one thing about Anne that I like, she shares her writings as one should, as servant of God who grants not only eternal life but arms us with a gift to serve Him and others, and she does that to the full. Beautifully written Debi, well done, you doll you, blessings Roy
Typo : she('s) blessed...

What a charming tribute to a dear friend, Debi. Most of us would love to have a poem like this for our birthday. The abab rhyme and the 4/3 alternating iambic verse is an unfussy form- just right for this kind of poem.
You have packed quite a lot of biography int a few verses, Debi, and you have made it quite clear to us that this lady was a radiant Christian.
How lovely, to receive such a beautiful poem from a dear friend like you.
Happy Birthday, Anne.
Paul

Likewise, Debbie - and, who would guess, this Anglican minister was born on . . . . . Christmas Day - 25th December
reply by the author on 22-Jun-2023
Oh Paul, that is so appropriate that you would be born on the day after the eve of our Lord, Jesus Christ. You were not given that date by accident. I do not believe in coincidence and therefore believe you have much good that you have done for your fellow man. Thanks for your sharing this date and all I have to say is, you will have a gift from me on Christmas in the form of a poem.
