This is such a nice paean to the fellow poet.and member of our writing community.
He sounds like a great guy and great writer. I haven't had the privilege to be very familiar with his works, but I will definitely look into his portfolio.
Loved your rhyming and imagery. Thank you for sharing this.

A very well-written and happy birthday card to one of my favorite guys: John Ciarmello.
I think these words particularly capture John:
"One of a kind, a man with heart
'You're top ranked on a "Most Loved" chart."
Thank you for thinking of him.
Best wishes,
Mary

That was a very thoughtful and considerate poem. I hope John's birthday went well for him and also that he has a very good upcoming Father's Day. Hope the neck injury wasn't too serious. Nicely written.

Hi Debi, I love this poem, and what I love the most is when I find other members from the NY/NJ area, both places close to my heart.
Your poem reads and flows well, and you've illustrated the essence of John. Of special note:
'You're top ranked on a "Most Loved" chart
You're right up there with Amazon
(D, the lines above are so very cute.)
Great rhyming. Well-chosen photo. A pleasure to read, and you are our amazing Debi--writing and posting just a few days after eye surgery.
Well done, but please take care of your health. Xo. M

Hey Margaret, I could use your assistance if you don't mind. After doing the grandma poem a few months ago, I have been asked to do a grandpa poem and I thought the best time to do one should be Father's Day. I am trying to get a feel for what it is that makes some men a good grandpa. What do your grandkids call Steve and what do you think makes him a good grandpa? I really appreciate it if you could help me with that. Thanks so much for this kind review for John too my dear friend. I love that you liked the Amazon remark. You are the first one who said anything. Thanks Sweetie!

The kids call Steve Poppy.
Steve loves to play with the kids, and he has introduced the to the love of music with his guitar and keyboard. Also, when they were little and crying, he would sooth them by carrying them around the house and tell them stories about the room that they were in--stuff like that. Xo. M

Hi Joan, if you look right above the title it will say in description box, for John Ciarmello. Lol, I thought that might be the easiest for people to see.
Thanks Hon for the very kind words for his poem. As always it is so appreciated my sweet friend.
-
Sorry. Debi. I am blind.
You?re most kindly welcome.

-
Joan,
I did not know that! I thought I knew you so well so was joking around w you , but I'm so sorry for you.
Please know I am always here for you w prayers and much love!

No need to apologize. It was hyperbole.
I have bad eyesight. But with glasses I see fine. I just missed something right in front of me.

Your birthday poem for John was well done, Debi.
I enjoyed reading it. You highlighted the many
admirable traits of his with smooth flow and great
rhymes. Your poem read like a mini biography. The
flow was smooth with unforced rhymes. You gave
readers great info about him. Your last verse was a
great tribute to John. I didn't know why I hadn't seen
his work lately. Yes, he is one of a kind--as you are.
Thanks for sharing and caring, Jan
