Hi Debi, you are really mastering the Merry-go-Rhyme poems. This poem reads and flows well, and I could feel your joy and good wishes to Paul from you and the FS family. Of special note:

If you see him in the hall, give the best present of all
Wish him well and make him feel, like he is ten feet tall!

(This is so sweet. I think that he must really feel like he is 10 feet tall.)

Paul is a really nice man. His reviews are always very helpful.

You get such good rhythm in your merry-go-round poem's Debi, and with long lines which I think are much harder to do. I'm sure Paul had an extra smile after reading your lovely words. Very nice of you.

I enjoy Paul's poetry and always look forward to reading anything he writes. Happy birthday, Paul!

These are my feelings here that you may do with what you choose.

The line, "And always does it from his heart, because he is our friend, Paul" knocks me off rhythm. What if it was "because he's our friend, Paul." Does that flow better?

And the line that mentions the Fountain of Youth seems short a word - maybe add "the famed Fountain of Youth?"

Your last stanza is single-spaced whereas the rest of the poem is double. Thanks for featuring this fine member of our writing community.

First of all, thank you Pam. I am not too happy that nobody else mentioned that. Those mistakes I caught and fixed early but it must not have saved. That happened once before so I should know better than to trust that w/o checking first. And yeah, that line ended up different but I couldn't fix it. Maybe if I go in & change the format while highlighted. Thanks so much Pam.

This is a nice and fun poem for Paul. I know he will enjoy it. Wow, being married for 57 years is amazing. I think there is more than one teacher here who helps a lot.
