That is a lot of snow!! Thank goodness we don't get it like that in the UK. You're so right about how fast the months pass on the calendar. The years fly by now, where once, not so long ago, I wished they would go faster. What an idiot I was, now those years have gone, and there aren't many left. Time continues even after we've gone. Well done! :)) Sandra xx

J... I would say, I feel your pain... but I can't and I'm glad I can't! Holy COW! That's a LOT of snow!!! Personally, I'd wait for spring. I'd call out for delivery and wait for the Spring.

Perfect! Just admiring the picture brought memories of when I looked forward to sledding with the children and now... though it is still beautiful, it brings aches and pain. Always stock up on ingredients for soup to wile away the days until the sun and warmth return.

Ahh, children will always bring out the child we have buried deep within. Enjoy!

Ciao ! I enjoyed reading your winter poem.
Christmas celebrations are fun .. family and relatives get togethers.
Sadly, Christmas also means another year is done and we are a year older. ( sigh)
Minestrone and stews with polenta are just the meals to keep us warm against the cold and those annoying old age ailments.
Even a fireplace blazing too( biggrin) .
My cats love to sit on the warm granite mantle piece or warm my feet under the blankets.

Thank you so very much for this wonderful surprise! Yes, the calendar runs out of days way to fast the older one becomes. 🙏🙏🌹🎶

I can totally identify with the words of your Rispetto. The years have passed and "The loss of strength and vim and pep is felt." I moved from the cold and snow to a warmer climate seven years ago. As you stated, the days peel off. Your words are rich in imagery and your chosen artwork pairs perfectly.

Tasks become undoable as we age. So glad we don't have snow. Surely you can get help from neighbors/snowplow? I do feel for you. I can't wield anything heavy and have folks come and do the garden for me. Then again, some are proud and won't ask for help. I'm in a electric wheelchair thank heavens. K xx

My goodness, I don't see how you poets keep all these different styles of poetry apart. I grew up in the fifties and am partial to the rhyming poems of old. Your poem is lovely and the picture looks like something to avoid.

We are of the same era, I was lucky to get through the classical reading requirements and then I retired and found some ink and a pen and FanStory ? the rest of the story continues to unfold. 🙏🙏

you nailed the form my dear. I like the mood, the feeling and the imagery of the poem and how you captured the mood of Christmas on a snowy winter day

Honestly I read this three times and it seemed each time I became more confused. I, myself found it hard to understand.
I cannot fault you for that which is why I still have it 5 stars.
Cheers my friend. John
