This is very well written and quite interesting. If you have a local newspaper, they might want to print this on their op-ed page or elsewhere. I think you compared the two cemeteries quite fairly to the credit of both.

This is a wonderful post, with a good point. At the end of life, we are more alike than not. The trappings may be different, but the end result is the same. I like how you described these two places. I have always liked cemeteries..to me they show that life mattered. This new deal of cremation and scattering ashes far and wide does not appeal to me. I love going to my parent's grave and my first husband's grave to sit and talk. Because even though their physical bodies are gone, the love remains and always will.
You have written a well thought out piece. You will find your voice again!

The first part of you essay had me convinced that if I ever get back to Massachusetts, I have to go visit this cemetery where I can see all this art and visit the graves of these important people. You were wise to stay with your chosen format. You didn't have to compete with other poet's work. You wrote the equal to King Solomon when he said (in prose, by the way) the same thing. Rich or poor, life can only end in death and we will all be forgotten. Great piece of writing.

This is a very interesting and informative story. I have been to the area only on business over the years and never spent any time looking around at the history except for the Kenndy library. I for one am glad you wrote in prose; it is a really good job.

Great work. We might differ on your very last phrase as for doctrine, but the essay was very well done.
First sentence - are there four cemeteries?
Dry spells are tough. You sometimes to go to Walmart and buy a bag of inspiration.
