Bravo!!! I am loving each chapter of your book!!! One of the things that I wonder about, is whether you write to the pictures, or whether you write, then seek a picture, but whichever, the combinations are spot on!! My friend, this is another great write!!
Sorry I have been absent...catching up now!!

OK, you are now pretty much caught up. I write and then my friend Lynn, the illustrator goes to work. This is her favorite poem so I think she went all out on this one. Thanks for spending time with my kids. - Wendy

Thanks Barb. It is one of my favorites too. My sibs and I used to sing on the swings in the park and that was the genesis for this little piece. - Wendy

This is a really cute story in this poem, Wendy, and another great chapter for your book.

"As boy and song flew through the air
most everyone would stop and stare" ... I love the image you've created here.

Once again the artwork and poem pair perfectly together. I enjoyed reading your poem. Well done! ~ ~ Connie

I guess I could say that they are all my favorite chapters, but now this one is really my favorite. Image is adorable and I loved the rhyming and alliteration. Great job. Marilyn

Thanks for the R & R Marilyn. Not saying we stopped any park traffic, but my sibs and I used to sing on the swings at the park ant that prompted this one. - Wendy

Another winner, Wendy. And Lynn has done such a terrific job on this picture. You are so lucky to have her to illustrate your book. I love how she painted his face! :)

I am so lucky to have her doing this. She has two to go and I can't wait to see them. Then . . . - Wendy

That was a lovely poem of the letter S for your children's ABC book, Wendy. I loved his name, and that his singing made everyone, birds, dogs and even the kites stop and listen. Really sweet poem. :) Sandra x

Thanks so much Sandra for you continued enthusiasm. It does help me keep writing. Only a few more to tweak and a couple of pictures from Lynn and I will be ready to dive into the real world with them. The input from all of you has been wonderful. - Wendy

very nice , but i felt I was missing something .
I thought would bark didnt' sound right although its ok English.
I would like some assonance if that means woof woof.
and more alliteration.
from a childrens book.
I might be asking too much,
but thought i'd say so anyway.
with love:-))Z.

This is a wonderful alliterative and fun poem about a boy who could sing and swing at the same second. He must of had an award winning voice if birds stopped singing
when he sang.

Keep writing

Thanks for the read and review. I wrote this about my brother, sister and I who used to swing at the park and sing. Don't think we silenced any birds, but the ants were known to march happily in perfect step to the rhythm. - Wendy

Swinging was always fun. Though I never sang while on the swings. I'd like to see those ants marching to your tune.
