Uhhh yeah winter won't be leaving anytime soon. More snow in the next couple days and I heard a rumor that we could be having snow every week to we're in or around March. Goody yay!

It does help if we like it doesn't it? I love the fireplace, hot chocolate, etc, but I am definitely getting ready to 'dig and plant'. That will probably not be anytime soon. Thank you for this great review.

Excellent personification of winter. The poem reads very well. You gave winter a personality in this poem. LOL. This poem was very humorous. Nicely written.

This personification of winter is pretty funny as it parallels the current winter we have all been amazed by. It becomes unfunny when I imagine winter becoming my spring. Nice poem.

Yes....I enjoyed this little conversation of Winder with himself and then possibly God. I love the discontentment and boredom with the "usual" and wanting to change things up, then the realization the Winter is perfect, just the way it is...Excellent.

It was fun to read, but this didn't strike me as a poem, somehow. I know it was a difficult task (believe me, I feel your pain), but it read more like prose than poetry.
Yes, poetry is a matter of opinion, I guess. Maybe it's called modern poetry, or something, but I've never bought into that.
Maybe, it takes a special ear to pick out free verse poetry from prose, and I just don't have it. I don't know, so this might be all my fault.
Because of that I figured I'd throw you five stars, and just share my reservations with you in this review. I hope you can appreciate my honesty, and take this for what it is, one writer's opinion.
Thanks for posting and good luck in the contest,
Christian

You and I actually share the same feelings. I never wrote, nor appreciated, free verse until I became a member of this site. I am still learning the various forms. I think with extra words this could have well been a story. I appreciate your fine comments and the generous rating. :-)

This is quite cute and clever, with the idea of changing places with spring. I love the imagery created in your free verse poem.
Very well done.
