This is a sad, well written poem about domestic violence in the home where children are involved. The one being beaten is not the only victim of the crime. The artwork is typical of this type of abuse. Writing is probably your best therapy.

I appreciate your feedback,and yes,it was frightening.
The physical victim was my mother. The emotional victims were myself and my siblings. Mum thought she was protecting us by locking us in the cupboard.

I liked the format of your poem and it goes really well with the artwork chosen. You express the feelings of despair and sadness very well, domestic violence against you and your brother as children is really well explicit. I am sorry for what you had to endure.
