This has been my most popular story as it is the only one out of the 20 or so I've posted to get 'recognized'. It was nice to see that happen. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much.

A sweet little story that teaches children well on a number of fronts. Perhaps we adults need to hear the same truths again in a simple way as well! Good job! One minor suggestion:" before the dog caught up to her." This might be clarified by adding "almost". :) Dennis

I slept wrong last night so it is back to square one again. It will be a good six to eight weeks before things get back to almost normal.

love the alliterative names of the characters
Good use of natural-sounding dialogue
I love the premise of the story that the gosling is weary of being squeezed by the kitten LOL
your creatures are all delightful as they interact - I love the lessons they learn without the story's becoming preachy :-) Brooke

I'm not sure which I like better, the story or your authors note. I think that's wonderful you incorporated a specific young girl into a charectors. She must be all smiles at that!!
I can't wait for my granddaughter to be a little older and read these to her(or at least send her a autographed copy !!)
Keep up the excellent writing Roxanne... John

Thank so much John, Almost all of my characters are named for someone I know or a special child who has touched me. Makes it more fun. I would be honored to send your granddaughter an autographed copy. =} Thank you again, Rox

I know you do that with the names. That's great. I guess I worded it wrong in haste.

So cute! I wouldn't have thought that a children's story would have sucked me in,but it did! I kept reading on wanting to find out what happened to Nina Kitten. I love that the story was written from the perspective of the animals - their characters were so cute & made the story very appealing.

This is an interesting children's story, and one that could be nicely illustrated by a talented artist. The piece is well written, with a storyline that would be fascinating to a child reader, or a child being read to. It was a pleasure to read.
In the paragraph beginning "It would be dark in a few hours ..." look at the third sentence: " He saw Nina favorite squeaky toy..." Shouldn't it be "She saw Nina's favorite squeaky toy ..." ??
