This is a good analogy and poem. Living in America, I'm not of often discussing such distant history. I can relate to writers block though, and your poem presentation represents that well. I hope you will be free of writers block in 2025! Best wishes, Alex

Your poem captures the frustration of writer's block so powerfully! The "Damocles Sword" line adds a great sense of tension. And "hangs in the ether" is perfect - I get a looming feeling from it. So well done.
