Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Christmas is over and gifts have been opened. Those personally made, like an afghan, will certainly be cherished more than a bought one.

The biggest gift we can give to Jesus is our love and trust because HE will never betray us.

Glad you mentioned our pets. Yes, they are family and now that it is so cold outside, we should remember to let them in and share the warmth.

This poem, Three Day Before Christmas flowed smoothly like a sweet song, challenging us to think of Jesus, the reason for the Christmas season as we celebrate His birth and buy gifts for our loved ones. Thanks so much, dear Pookietoo. I enjoyed this creative piece.

Again, your faith comes shining through, Darla. You have reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas. Very nice ending where you mention about meeting Jesus.

I thought for sure you would give me six stars on this one.

Sorry, Darla. If you get six stars from me, you will know that you have a really great poem. Close but no cigar on this one.

I realize that the contest calls for free verse, but you know what I think of free verse. I would probably give Robert Frost six stars for poem on birches - but just barely, so you can see what you are up against,

How nice to read a poem that conveys the true message of the season. Very nicely written, simply, but it tells the story precisely. Hope Christmas brings you both everything you want and need.

Christmas trees were around in The prophet Jeremiah's time, not instituted by God, it's mostly pagan traditions, mistletoe, carols, etc. it's a funny mixture. A man based tradition from the Romans, I think that's why we battle with the world! But beautifully written, blessings Roy
